They're not afraid to shake the menu up a bit, and that's a really cool thing! Shipwreck Grill offers daily specials that will have you mopping up every last drop of your dinner, I kid you not! Everything from Ribeye Over Mashers (OMGosh, that gravy!!!) to the BEST Little Neck Clam Bowl on the planet (a savory garlic-tomato broth over... More

I ate breakfast here twice while staying across the street at Cape Hattaras Motel. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the sausage gravy was excellent.

While wandering around the Outer Banks, we happened upon the Shipwreck Grill. Stopped in because we were hungry and it was there. What a lucky find! The specials were delicious. It was obvious that everything was made fresh on the spot. The service was great. We really enjoyed our meal. We will certainly stop there again.

During our stay in the off season, Shipwreck has become our morning spot. The staff is friendly. The cook came out to talk to us. Just over all a very homey atmosphere. Food is good and reasonably priced. Nice place to enjoy the morning and some coffee. (Biscuits and gravy are AMAZING)

Traveled for many hours to get to the outer banks and being in the off season so many places were closed. Thankfully we came to the shipwreck grill and was like why no...so glad we did..the lady sat us quickly and took our order with all smiles..food was the best..we came back for breakfast every day of our stay in... We came in for breakfast, stood in the front for several minutes and was then told to take a seat in the back, which we did and saw that there was several empty dirty tables, and only 2 tables that were occupied by other customers, so when the waitress finally came over she was saying how the morning was crazy,... Decided to cross street for breakfast rather then drive to someplace since we didn't know the area. Was pleasantly surprised. Being off season there was no crowd but, I guess, most of the people ther were locals. We were greeted warmly and even before sitting down we had coffee. Service was very good with pancakes light and the bacon crisp.... More

We went one rough morning after a wedding. We entered and there were multiple people standing around a coffee bar/ host area. There was no line or sense of order so we assumed they were waiting for their coffee. After 15 minutes of standing there confused, a pleasant lady behind the counter said there should be a table in the... More

Ate here this past Saturday before heading out to fish in the tournament. Ordered the sausage omelette and I have to say it was the best omelette ever. Fluffy eggs, just the right amount of cheese and the peppers and onions were a great touch. Can't wait to return in November to get another one!

Coming north took the first ferry from Ocracoke and arrived on Hatteras Island before breakfast. Took a chance on Shipwreck because Diamond Shoals was overflowing with fishermen. Asked waitress to confirm that Eggs Benedict were poached. When they arrived it was clear they had been fried. Egg whites were gray with black spots from grill debris. Made me wonder about... More
