We visited Café Pamlico for dinner, on the recommendation of our hotel owner, and from the reviews on Tripadvisor, and were not disappointed! My husband and I shared the scallop appetizer (a good portion of 5 scallops, not the small portion other reviewers had mentioned) and a salad, and had crabcakes and fresh cobia as our entrees. We had a... More

Felt like family at your cafe. Engaged your lovely wait staff and neighboring tables with witty banter and anecdotes. The bar keep poured us yummy jalapeño spiked 'ritas and 'tinis. Oh yes, and the food was delicious. Our personal dining requirements: must have seafood, must be on the water - and hey, you met both. Even better, my daughter actually... More

I had dinner at this lovely restaurant, the food was delicous, the atmosphere so romantic and I loved the musician in the background. It was a perfect evening and the staff was so nice!

We went to Café Pimlico while we were staying down in Hatteras, NC in July. We had a party of 14 and called ahead earlier that day with our reservation. We were told there were two other large parties that evening of 20+, but they still took our reservation. We arrived at 6:30 and the place was full, but we... More

Regular readers of our reviews know that, while we strive for 100% satisfaction, we also strive to acknowledge where and when we fall short. When, however, statements are made which are demonstrably untrue, we feel the need to respond to such statements with empirical fact. It is true that this party of 14 was seated at 6:30PM on 8/14/14. Their... More

Our first night in Buxton so everything is relative right? Yes the atmosphere is nice and servers were friendly but the food was average at best. Not what I expect for a $100 dinner with my wife. This included a couple of appetizers, a main course and a glass of wine each. "lump" Crab cakes were breaded, scallops were small,... More

While we're glad this reviewer liked our atmosphere and staff, we were sorry to read their thoughts that our food was no more than average. We strive for freshest possible ingredients prepared by a trained master chef. We ask that any patron who does not find each aspect of their experience to the high standards we set for our selves... newlyweds - my wife and I honeymooned at The Inn and had four dinners at the Cafe through the course of our stay. between us we tried everything on the menu - the duck, the tuna, the filet, shrimp scampi, and each of the appetizers along with each of the three desserts. as the old saying goes, do what you... My fiancé and I wanted to spend our last night at the beach by going to a nice dinner. He found this restaurant on trip advisor and invited my sister and brother in law along. The atmosphere was perfect, the sunset was beautiful, the food was outstanding, and the staff was wonderful. Mandy (our fantastic waitress) recommended a few different... More

My family and I were staying in the large house right next to the inn. The food was pretty good, however, the portions are very small. The food is pricey for what you get. Mind you, we are from NJ/NY and are used to high price dining. I ordered a $15 scallop appetizer and got 3 extremely small scallops with... More

We would like to say we meet the standards set for ourselves each and every time. Though that is our goal, we strive to acknowledge when and where we fail. We wish we did not have to validate the perspective of this reviewer, but must. I had the pleasure of meeting their party of interesting, urbane, experienced diners. We failed... More

Began with a beautiful wedding renewal service out at the point. Next, we had drinks at the bar- had the best Mojito of my three week vacation. Finally, we had a great meal and absolutely delectable lava cake dessert.

This is the place to go for a romantic dinner with your significant other. Eat outdoors overlooking the sound, maybe they will have live music like they did our night. Food is outstanding but it is fine dining, smaller portions higher cost, top quality.
