Let me start by saying that we had a very pleasant evening on Sunday at Cafe Pamlico. The food was generally great, the location is gorgeous and the staff are attentive BUT. When you advertise yourself as 'Fine Dining', you are holding yourselves to a higher standard than being just a great restaurant, so although my points may seem picky, they... More

It is all good. The menu entrees are all $30 and the appetizers are $10 & 12. I wanted the honey glazed duck but because we were seated late it was gone. (I like a restaurant that does not get something from the freezer for you) Our drinks were served in an original old fashion glass, Not one of the... More

What do you call plates of food that are super small portions but attractively arranged? Nouveau Cuisine? We ate and the food was good but small. The service was very slow. I mean 20 minutes between server sightings. I don't mind paying these prices if we are waited on hand and foot, but that is not the case here.

I know everyone loves this place. Sorry. I was just not impressed. The view is nice, the setting is nice, but the service and food are just amateurish. Very few non-seafood selections on the menu - no vegetarian selections at all. Pretty expensive. Also the deck - while scenic - is very flimsy - and the wait staff clunks around... More

Cafe Pamlico catered our wedding on July 6, 2014, and both the service and food were fantastic. Owner, Steve Nelseon, and his staff are highly professional, having gone above and beyond to ensure that our experience was nothing short of perfect. I have been vacationing in Avon, NC, for over 30 years, and I can assure you that Cafe Pamlico... More

The Inn provided catering at our house. The food was delivered in a timely fashion. The food was fantastic with all of our guests raving about it. We can't thank the people who prepared and delivered it enough.

Wonderful evening and meal. Sat outside at this lovely restaurant overlooking the water on a great evening. Great service, wonderful food and a guitar player who was not overbearing and had a great voice. The restaurant was very accommodating for my wife who is a vegetarian, making her a lovely meal of lemon risotto and grilled vegetables. I had the... More

We can’t begin to tell you how happy my husband and I are with Staff, their thoughtfulness, attention to detail and thoroughness. Everything from the communication between us to the driver delivering our food for our housewarming reception was handled with the utmost professionalism and consideration of our day. We recently had a dinner at this restaurant during our stay and we can confirm that we had an excellent dinner with a very nice view on the sound and perfect service. We will definitely come back when we are in the area.
