Not everything is fried.

WE got the "healthy" food, broiled catch of the day. Once it was bluefish, which was fresh, delicious, and local, and once it was sheepshead, which was fresh, delicious, and local. The food was good the previous year and good this year too but it seemed like the quality of service may have declined just a bit but overall a really nice family restaurant that isn't so mainstream

The Captain's Catch is a daily special, and if you're lucky enough to get there on a day when he is offering Blue Fish, you don't wanna miss it! The Captain's Table also serves whole flounder which is fun for the "kids" in your group. (The service is every bit as good as the food, by the way!) Their seafood... More

It was disappointing. The menu really didn't have many health choices that we wanted. There was a lot of fried food and high fat dishes. We were surprised to find it was crowded.

Went down to the OBX on a little fishing trip. After eating at the rented house for a few days, it was time to go out for a dinner. Found the Captain's Table to be very good for the out of the way location of the area. I was in mid October, so there were lots of fishermen down in... More

We shared the captains feast with a twice baked potato and green beans. The food was ok but I was not overly impressed with the taste of the food. The waitstaff seemed impatient and ready for us to leave as soon as we finished eating. Again food was good but nothing other than that.

Hello, We had Shrimp (overdone), Scallops (underdone), Broiled Oysters (tasted like Boiled Oysters), Fish that was dry and the Hush Puppies were cold and tasteless. The portions were very small.

We went there with 10 friends. Those who ordered something fried were satisfied with their meal. The broiled crowd however were less than happy. I shared some of my fried shrimp with the person next to me and she loved it. Her broiled scallops on the other hand looked like they only had a passing acquaintance with the oven. Almost... More

Depending on the time of day, you may have a little wait. Although they don't have a bar, the hostess will bring a glass of wine or a beer to the porch for you to sip on while you waite I had the Mediterranean seafood..A seafood lover's delight. This is another place in Buxton, Steve and I look forward to... More

Their food is good, prices o.k., service good too. My husband and daughter had seafood. And enjoyed it. I got the chicken strips that were quite dried out and tasteless. Was disappointed. Enjoyed the fries and slaw though. Nice place, too.
