Just like Billy's but I missed the tile fish

My family was looking forwards to Billy's and learned that it had changed owners a couple times since our last visit. Tile fish was not on the menu, but I had the fried Spanish mackerel (catch OTD)dinner while my family had the Shrimp/scallops/clams dinner. The mackerel melted in my mouth. It was... read more

My family and I were visiting the hatteras light house and shortly after we were looking for a place to grab lunch. From the outside you might question stopping here, but once you try their food you will quickly change your mind. Everything is freshly prepared, freshly breaded and just melts in your mouth. The hushpuppies were incredible as well... More

Yum, yum, yum, yum.... really that is all you can say while you are there! The hushpuppies are the best. The shrimp is wonderful. The coleslaw is great. This place just knows how to do it!

This is a quiet small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating next to a small marina. We sat outside and they brought a bowl of water for our dog. The food was very fresh and the waitress was outstanding. I have not had a better meal on Hatteras since we started going there in the mid 1980s.

Like other reviews say, absolutely the most fabulous hush puppies! Very good clam chowder. Shared a fried flounder, very good batter, thin and not greasy. Wish we had room for deserts. Reasonable prices. Take a try at this classic place.

We stopped for lunch in this small spot on the water. Very friendly welcome. We first sat inside until we noticed outside. And we were helped to move. Delicious food. Across one creek a boatyard and the other bank held hurricane damaged boats. And in front a beautiful flowering bush. I seldom give simple places 5 stars but loved the... More

Our waitress, Lisa, instantly made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Her service was superior in every way. The food was absolutely AWESOME! Highly recommended! Can't wait to go there again.

Visited the Fish House which Pop has recently taken over and which is directly opposite the bar he owns. It was convenient as it was only 100 yards from where we were staying. We had a very average meal - not bad but not good. We started with grilled tuna bites ordered as rare to medium but came in a... More

WOW!!! I had one of the best meals at Pop's Fish House Restaurant yesterday in Buxton, NC!! I ordered Fried Shrimp basket. The batter on the shrimp - very tasty!! The cole slaw was slamming!! When I finished eating, I was sad, the food was SO good, I wish my plate was never ending! The wait staff and the owner... More
