Pretty Good!

Hubby and I ate here last Saturday. I had steamed shrimp and he had fried oysters. We both enjoyed our food. The price was average for seafood. We enjoyed the view of the sound from the second floor window view.

Every dish we had was much better than the average restaurant dish. The linguine clam sauce was chuck full of clams, almost too much. the clam cakes were real meat, and my daughter's fried shrimp were not the normal breaded baby shrimp, the batter was very tasty and the shrimp were delicious. The game room was a nice touch for... More

The food was great. The drinks were great. The bartender was fantastic. I'd strongly recommend the Mahi feature and cheese cake for dessert.

We have been coming to the OBX for just under ten years and each year our group of 20-30 family and friends goes out for a family dinner. We have tried numerous restaurants in the area and have been underwhelmed with most of them. It seems that the majority of establishments are tourist traps, so when one of our group... More

We were looking for a local restaurant and the bonus was the location of Sandbar & Grille. It's soundside and has some nice sunset views. We were in the OBX during off season so were able to get a table very easily. I'd recommend calling for reservations or wait times in the prime season. The food was good -- we... More

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel and was one of the few restaurants open in the off-season. We were pleasantly surprised! We found a cozy, friendly place with good food (try the apple pie!) and friendly service. It was affordable, too!

Slow night(4 at the bar...3 tables seated including mine)..two servers..we had Stacey.. took 10 min to get drink order in..my drink (soda) was only refilled once..my lady's drink was never refilled nor asked to be refilled.. we thought that maybe she has having an off night so we left a more than generous tip..when she saw the amount she scoffed... The sandwiches we got were great but neither my husband or I drink beer..so we were kind of in "dry dock"..All of the staff were friendly and what food we had was good.

I just wanted to let you know that you missed out on a full service bar, with an extensive wine list, and cocktail menu. The wine list was on the back page of the regular menu, sorry you missed it!! More
