This place is one of those gems that you would never find on your own. It is tucked away of the main road and you need more that a GPS to find it. The food is the best of home cooked meals that you will find anywhere and served a bit differently. You cannot just walk in and get a... More

We enjoyed another meal at the Hemlock Inn on a lovely October evening this week as we passed through the Bryson City area while traveling in the mountains We appreciate the inn offering a meal even though we were not overnight guest. They require reservations at least 24 hours in advance in order to insure there is adequate food for... More

Dinners were particularly memorable with homemade pies, muffins, sauces, etc. Foods were very fresh and enticing Recipes so great, we're committed to trying them out from their cookbook on a regular basis.

They serve breakfasts and evening dinners family style around large round tables with lazy Susan's on each table where the food is placed. One could be solo and feel comfortable eating with other residents. A cookbook is on sale with their great recipes. It is the highlight of the day.

Dinner here is both great food and great experience. Family style is a great opportunity for conversation with a different group. Arrive early if you are not staying at Inn and enjoy the view. Check on menu when making reservations as menu changes nightly. Do not miss this food and experience

This place is like going to visit your favorite aunt or uncle. They know how to make feel welcome and once you spend the night here you are planning your next stay here. I love their family style suppers at their big round tables. Excellent food and views.

Served family style, made fresh with ingredients sourced as local as possible. Though home-cooked and country, it never felt overly "heavy".

My wife and I recently enjoyed dinner at the Hemlock Inn. Dinner is served Bed & Breakfast style, and they ring the bell for dinner precisely at 6:30. You have to make a reservation and you should show up well before they ring the bell. Your choice of food is what they place on the table in front of you;... More
