This is a newly expanded shop, the atomosphere is like well, an old "soda shop"! They have a nice variety of ice cream flavors and it's super creamy! The owner and servers are very friendly. *they don't accept credit/debit cards or checks, so bring cash.

I got a chocolate covered waffle cone and a cup of ice cream and it was over $8! Seemed overpriced for just 2 items.

Thank you for letting Soda Pop's be a part of your trip and sorry you think I'm "Over Priced" We work really hard to keep our prices down. which is really hard considering the small town we live in and operate in. With that said I think our pricing is right on. A single scoop Chocolate Waffle Cone is 4.25... More

My wife and I were sight seeing in the Bryson City area and as we traveled down a street in town, we saw several people sitting on benches eating ice cream and seemed to be enjoying it. We circled the block and checked it out again and they were sitting in front of an ice cream parlor. We continued on... More

Paul does a great job mixing up a shake (lots of real ice cream) and dipping delicious Bluebell scoops (my "single" was so generous that I checked to make sure he had heard me right). We stopped in for a mid-afternoon treat, and judging from the traffic, this place is as much a hit with locals as with tourists.

My wife and I traveled to western NC this past weekend during the government shutdown. And even though activities were limited, we were able to find things to do and create our own fun. One of the high points was a trip to the classic American 1940s-50s style malt shop known as Soda Pops. From the time period décor with... More

How long has it been since you visited an ice cream shop? I don't mean a kiosk in the mall or a pint out of the freezer when you are depressed but a real life honest to god hand dipper ice cream shop where the guy behind the counter actually likes the product that he serves. Wonderful store, full of... More

We went to Soda Pops for dessert. Walking through the screen door was like walking back in time. It is a very fun experience seeing the many retro items they have on display. All of us had an ice cream cone. The ice cream was creamy and they offered limited although tasty flavours. We then ate it outside on one... More

Very clean, cute retro ice cream shop with good treats and decent prices. My one suggestion would be to be able to pay a way other than cash only. Also, the rockers outside to sit in are a nice touch. We were served by the owner who was very friendly.

I had a cup and my husband had a shake plus a float. The young man that prepared our choices was delightful but the owner was a bit of a grouch he ended up making my husband mad because he made a disparing remark about our favorite college football team. Not a way to build a business

Thank you for your honest review and making Soda Pop's a part of your trip. Not a grouch, we banter back in forth all day about college football tames and have fun with it. My apologies if that offended your husband. More
