Everyone in town said they had the best burgers. The four of us now figure that Bryson City isn't a place to get burgers if that's true. We had an Elk burger, 2 Bison burgers and a regular beef burger. My wife got the beef burger it after ordering it medium well it came looking rare. When she said she... More

Jimmy Mac's has the best food in Bryson City. Check ahead to make sure that they are open. Worth waiting in line for.

I have a favorite dish called "Manila Catfish". I noticed on the menu that Jimmy Mac's had catfish and rice. After confirming with the waitress that they also had Jalapeno's I told her what I wanted and how to prepare it. Although I didn't recognize him, Jimmy was standing near and heard me as I described the dish. He explained... More

This is a great place. Grouper is really good. You will have to wait so go early and plan on standing outside until it is your turn.

We had our dogs with us so ordered burgers to go and had a picnic on the bench. Burgers were big, juicy, cooked perfectly and simply delicious. The steak fries were awesome. If we didn't live 5 hours from here, we would be regulars!

Many folks in and around the Tampa Bay area and beyond probably still have fond memories of a Jimmy Mac's restaurant in Hyde Park or on Gandy near the Imperial Yacht Basin. My bride and I never went to the one in Hyde Park. We preferred the one on Gandy since it was closer to us. I don't know what... More

We visit Bryson City a couple of times per year and look forward to lunch, dinner or both at Jimmy Mac's. In my opinion it is the absolute best place to eat while there. I have tried lots of options and have never been disappointed. While there on our last visit this past weekend I had the fried seafood and... More

Pretty good food, quaint home-town atmosphere with the waitresses very friendly. Not a whole lot of seating so you may have to wait. We waited about 10 min at 6pm, not too bad.

We stopped in here for dinner because it was packed and we figured the locals knew something. My boyfriend got fried mountain trout as an appetizer which he said was pretty good. The burgers were ok, expected them to be amazing for the crowd. A little too much bread, any my boyfriend said they put a bucket of horseradish on... More

He accommodated our group of 28 by opening his restaurant on a night he is usually closed! The reduced menu was still very large and satisfied the diverse taste of everyone. The food was delicious! The grilled mountain trout was cooked to perfection. The filet mignon was savory. The creamiest baked potato I've had in ages. The grouper bites were... More
