Many folks in and around the Tampa Bay area and beyond probably still have fond memories of a Jimmy Mac's restaurant in Hyde Park or on Gandy near the Imperial Yacht Basin. My bride and I never went to the one in Hyde Park. We preferred the one on Gandy since it was closer to us. I don't know what... More

We visit Bryson City a couple of times per year and look forward to lunch, dinner or both at Jimmy Mac's. In my opinion it is the absolute best place to eat while there. I have tried lots of options and have never been disappointed. While there on our last visit this past weekend I had the fried seafood and... More

Pretty good food, quaint home-town atmosphere with the waitresses very friendly. Not a whole lot of seating so you may have to wait. We waited about 10 min at 6pm, not too bad.

We stopped in here for dinner because it was packed and we figured the locals knew something. My boyfriend got fried mountain trout as an appetizer which he said was pretty good. The burgers were ok, expected them to be amazing for the crowd. A little too much bread, any my boyfriend said they put a bucket of horseradish on... More

He accommodated our group of 28 by opening his restaurant on a night he is usually closed! The reduced menu was still very large and satisfied the diverse taste of everyone. The food was delicious! The grilled mountain trout was cooked to perfection. The filet mignon was savory. The creamiest baked potato I've had in ages. The grouper bites were... More

First time in Bryson City, we decided to have lunch here and we were not disappointed. I ordered the chicken cajun sandwich. It was very good with bleu cheese, mushrooms and shallots on top. Ice tea was good as well. Our waitress was very attentive. Nice atmosphere.

We arrived at our motel and ask for dinner suggestions. Jimmy Mac's was recommended, and told well worth the wait. The food was excellent, the staff was great and the folks waiting for dinner were engaging and fun. All were return customers from out of town. We will go back before our visit is over.

We had a great experience. The atmosphere was good, friendly staff and food was good. The service was a little slow but we were in no hurry.

Good food and service! The blackened grouper is good but ask for light seasoning because they put a lot on it. The ham and swiss sandwich and vegetable beef soup are delicious. Salads always taste very fresh. Great blue cheese dressing! A must in Bryson City!
