Great food... Music variable

Excellent food. Did not care for the music. Last year they had a wonderful acoustic guitar player whose tones complemented a fine meal. This year we returned to hear a loud electric band with booming base that I would have paid to stop playing. (The Gravely's) The food is still excellent.

A good place for an enjoyable glass of wine and meal before a concert at Brevard Music School. You need to make reservations.

We took my mother-in-law for her birthday lunch, chose Square Root for it's location, and had one of the best ever lunches! Our hard-to-please grandson actually enjoyed his lunch as much as we did. He had shrimp tacos, Mom had a burger, wife had salad and I had brousin cheese chicken sandwich. The zucchini strip appetizer was excellent also. The staff... More

The Square Root is my fav restaurant in Brevard, NC! I take family & friends there every chance I get, never once have any of us been disappointed. Last time it was a little loud (both the music and the customers) which I do not care for but that was the first time it was so noisy and the restaurant... More

I got a burger, one of the best I have had in a decade. My wife got crab chowder. She LOVED it! We ate at several places on our visit, and if we go back, this will be our go to place.

Darn good food and good service. I was pleased. Check out the interesting decor inside at the bar. This is where the locals eat.

We met some friends here for lunch on a Friday on our way to Asheville. The decor was nice, but they sat us immediately and then the wait staff took a good 15 minutes to come to the table to even take our drink order. By that time, we were ready to order. I had a burger with some sauteed... More

Liked the service, the appetizers, the main dishes, and the dessert. The local beer from Brevard is really good especially the Munich Dunkel (by far the most popular beer while we were sitting there Saturday night). Reservations are recommended but were not necessary for eating at the bar or patio. The ahi tuna was cooked perfectly. The dessert sounded like... More

Lovely brunch! First time there. Had the Shrimp and Chorizo Sausage with Fried Gouda Grit Cake. Wonderful! The flavor is what I'm looking for and it's there but not too rich! Just right! Can't wait to go back and try an evening meal!

Their food is great and their staff is even better. Try to arrive just before lunch or mid-afternoon on weekends or you'll be standing in a line.
