Each time I have eaten at Square Root my meal has been delicious but I have always hankered after whatever the surrounding diners were eating. Lunch today was perfect, perfectly conceived, perfectly cooked, perfectly served by the lovely Rosie. My Eggplant Club was crispy in all the right places, droolingly dribbly and packed with flavour. Three napkins later my face... More

Tonight after our restaurant of choice was unexpectedly closed, our group ended up at Square Root by default. We were seated on the patio by a smiling, cheery hostess and our drink orders were taken promptly by a very pleasant waitress. After deliberating over the very diverse menu, I settled on the poached pear flatbread and the Square Root salad... More

Nice atmosphere, great bar apps and dinner items too! Ok wine list. It's in an alley so if you cannot find it ask a local, they all know where it is. This is as good as it gets in Brevard Nd actually, there are a number of pretty good restaurants. Try this one.

I am a local and a frequent customer. The Square Root is one of our go to spots. Having been in Brevard for several years I can say we have never been disappointed. The lunch menu is fantastic and i must say the meal we most often visit. The salads and sandwiches are fantastic. Highly recommend The Square Root.

My wife and I visited the town of Brevard for the first time this past week and stopped for lunch at the Square Root...full service bar is available, but being lunchtime and a drive back from to Greenville SC ahead of us we opted for the 'softer beverages' (sweet tea)...the restaurant servers were all very delightful, competent and knowledgeable of... Our family had brunch here and weren't disappointed. Great food in a unique building, tucked back in an alley off of the main drag. And there's a chocolate store across the alley (not that we had room after our meal, but maybe some for later!). We made reservations, which is recommended but probably wasn't needed when we went.

stopped in for a quick bite for lunch. Was seated and served quickly. Ordered the fish tacos. Very good except for too much sour cream for me. Next time I'll order on the side. Had the sweet potatoes chips. They were okay. Missing somethng in taste and could have been crispier and hotter. Tasted the fried green tomatoes someone else... More
