I pride myself as a bakery connoisseur never pass an opportunity to add another to my list of favorites. Artisan Breads extraordinaire . Bread Matters and their is 1st rate. Great texture is what great bread is about and they have nailed it. Brioche soft yet not spongy, Classic Italian, hard crusted, chewy pull apart interior with random large air... More

After a poor experience at the Hob Nob restaurant my friend and I needed a treat. We were looking for ice cream but both shops nearby were very busy and we didn't want to wait. We came by the bakery as we walking back to our car and decided to stop in. So glad we did. I had a yummy... More

Bracken bakery is amazing! The french brioche is the best I've ever had.The breads are wonderful especially the blue cheese and the olive loaf.I was born in NY and lived outside the capital beltway I remember the french and Italian bakeries.I've traveled extensively and this bakery is excellent.I think some people are use to the processed sugary deserts that have... The coffee was average, the pastry was fair to good, and the service was not up to par with other coffee shops and bakeries we frequent at home. Will try somewhere else when we visit the area in the future.

I'm spoiled. I live in a big city with excellent artisan bakers. One doesn't expect to go to a small town and find this quality of bread. This baker is up before dawn everyday turning out delicious orange cardamon rolls (no kidding, the guy behind me complained when I bought one of the last six; he wanted the whole half-dozen),... Out of towners looking for a good cup o' joe. Wonderful smooth and mellow coffee. Obvious local favorite. Delicious baked goods to boot. We will be back !

A first class bakery in a small mountain town. I never miss a chance to have their baguettes when in town. Their petite pain au chocolate is as good as I've had in Paris.

A lovely morning stop while traveling in the area - no time for a Big Breakfast. I judge bakeries by the croissants (one can't skimp on the ingredient quality or the time it takes to make croissants). 1) Bracken Mountain does make them and 2) they are wonderful! My husband had a muffin and gave it a thumbs-up. We purchased... More

Get there early for the best selections of home-baked breads. Very popular, so their morning stock clears out quickly.

While in Brevard this past Saturday my wife and I decided to check out Bracken Mountain Bakery. I had heard some good things about the place and was always wanting to visit it. We were not disappointed. The coffee was superb and the scones were delicious! I noticed that they make and sell German/Austrian stollen so we'll be back soon!
