The coffee sold by the cup or ground to order by the pound is so very good. And their jumbo cookies make a delicious treat. But what I love most... More

Every now and then we pick up a French bread and some sweet treats from this wonderful Bakery. I always get the cheese pastry with blueberries and a scone for my husband. Always wonderful. Always the crustiest freshest bread one could even hope for. Don't miss it.

Classic local bakery providing excellent products thru-out the day. Visit on an annual basis around vacation time in the Asheville and Brevard, North Carolina areas. Coming to Bracken Mountain several times over the week is a consistent pleasure. Service is prompt. Location offers a chance to people watch across local residents and visitors. And - one can get the 'dog... More

I pride myself as a bakery connoisseur never pass an opportunity to add another to my list of favorites. Artisan Breads extraordinaire . Bread Matters and their is 1st rate. Great texture is what great bread is about and they have nailed it. Brioche soft yet not spongy, Classic Italian, hard crusted, chewy pull apart interior with random large air... More

After a poor experience at the Hob Nob restaurant my friend and I needed a treat. We were looking for ice cream but both shops nearby were very busy and we didn't want to wait. We came by the bakery as we walking back to our car and decided to stop in. So glad we did. I had a yummy... More

Bracken bakery is amazing! The french brioche is the best I've ever had.The breads are wonderful especially the blue cheese and the olive loaf.I was born in NY and lived outside the capital beltway I remember the french and Italian bakeries.I've traveled extensively and this bakery is excellent.I think some people are use to the processed sugary deserts that have... This is my favorite bakery in the entire world, and I am well traveled. When I was in Paris I bought several croissants, just to see if they were better than Braken Mountain Bakery's croissants. They were not. Really everything they have there is to die for. Everything is from scratch, and I heard that the wheat they use is... More

The coffee was average, the pastry was fair to good, and the service was not up to par with other coffee shops and bakeries we frequent at home. Will try somewhere else when we visit the area in the future.

Our visit this time was a little disappointing. The blackberry scone was very dry. The coffee was good. We would return on another trip.
