Fine dining at a cozy continental bistro

Friday night dinner for 4 (plus a toddler). Nice, borderline elegant atmosphere in a strip mall. Who woulda thunk it. Speedy, friendly service. And the food was first rate. I started with one of my favorite dishes, foie gras, and it was delicious. This was followed by three cheese ravioli with a truffle sauce. Again, delicious. Two others ordered lamb... More

I want to preface this review by saying it is not a review of the food, because we NEVER got to try it. We went to Joy Bistro this past weekend, arrived about 6:30 on a Friday night. We did not have reservations because according to the info l read on Trip Ad. they are not required. There were diners... More

Hello. I wanted to respond to this review and tell you that I am sorry that we did not have any open tables for you at 6:30pm on that Friday night. While reservations are not required, they are recommended (as it states on our website). We try to allow ample time (2 hrs.) for eveyone to enjoy their meal and... More

Made another trip to Joy Bistro with family. Just as good as the last time, food quality is superb. Service was a bit off, seemed our knowledgeable/friendly waitress had to many diners to look after. She did her very best. We will be back.

This small restaurant, located at the end of a strip mall, was a pleasant surprise. I chose a hot brussel sprout salad over foie gras for an appetizer, and sea scallops over the lamb shanks for my entree. The wine -- and food -- were both excellent and fairly priced. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who considers... More

Classy, fine dining in Boone. Some aspects of our dinner here were very good, others not so much - so overall, I found it to not be quite worth the money. However I am definitely willing to give Joy's Bistro another try! It's a very nice restaurant, and there are plenty of things on the menu to give another shot.... More

Comfortable atmosphere, very well prepared, fresh to order, food and professional / friendly service. I enjoyed a "special" dish with perfectly sautéed shrimp on an avocado mousse with two fried eggs, toast, fingerling fried potatoes and mixed fruit. It was a great brunch combo, especially accompanied by a glass of French Rose wine. Everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed their... More

Very popular, so make sure you have reservations if on the weekend. I was traveling solo, so I sat at the bar for dinner and it was fine. You won't see any college students here (unless w/ their parents) as it is pricer than their budgets. Special was sea bass w/ seasonal veggies and it was delish. Small , so... More
