Quaint little restaurant

Love the food at Melanie's. Was there previously and went back because the food is great. Stopped for lunch this time and had the hamburgers and soup. Both were delicious. Friendly staff. The front door needs to be fixed. This was an issue the last time we were there. It was a cold rainy day and... read more

This place serves a great eggs Benedict however they get very busy and it is a small place so you will most likely have to wait.

I would rate this a 5+ if I could. It was the first restaurant I ever ate at in Boone and I will be going there every time I come!

Ordered the French Toast...tasted like it was made from the bottoms of stale hamburger buns ..easier to just leave all of it than ask for something else, since the waitress could not hear really well because of the loudness of the dining area........very crowded seating arrangement..

Very busy on a weekday holiday morning even though App State was on holiday break. We did not have to wait for a table but the place is small so you can expect a wait many days. The french toast was very good. Service was good. Prices are higher than average for breakfast but with the demand for the place they... More

We ate at Melanie's on a weekday morning (around 9am) and were seated as soon as we walked in. I ordered the organic coffee and fresh carrot juice. The carrot juice was mixed with organic apple juice; it was such a refreshing and palatable drink! I ordered the stuffed french toast, which was more than enough to feed one person.... More

We were hungry and wanted a hot breakfast, so we decided to try Melanie's. We had heard and read great reviews of their food. Normally it has been packed when we have drove by, but with students on Christmas break we were seated quickly. The menu has great variety. We opted for the Trucker's Breakfast, which included biscuit with their... More

We were in town visiting her son who goes to college in Boone. We came across Melanie's while walking around and decided to have breakfast, apparently so did everybody else in Boone. I can't complain that it was busy obviously that is a good sign but it was almost an hour and a half wait for breakfast. The food was... More

A few of my girlfriends and I got together for breakfast this past Sunday morning. Melanie's was a great spot to catch up. It is central in location, the atmosphere is great (not too loud so you can hear your friends talking, but not too quiet either). The food was excellent and I look forward to visiting soon!

We stopped in Melanie's Food Fantasy due to it's close proximity to a 1:00 meeting on King street and were pleasantly pleased to see the creative twist to standard favorites on the menu. Apple-Achian, Jamaican, Tempeh Reuben etc. everything was based on a classic with a creative healthy twist. This wasn't just good, it was dream about at night and... More
