Brisket hash is incredible coupled with eggs and toast yum. Eggs Benedict got thumbs up from family as well as the Boone.

I never thought that the best eggs benedict I would ever have, would come from a place that looked this causal. Seriously, I have had eggs benedict at some really fancy, white tablecloth places and this was definitely better. The hollandaise sauce tasted rich and creamy, but was so light and airy. The eggs were poached to perfection with just... More

We had breakfast at Sunrise Grill yesterday for the first time. The people and food were so good we decided we would have breakfast there again (today) and try something else on the menu. He had a regular eggs, bacon combo and I had a Spanish omelet with chorizo, cilantro, pepperjack, and tomatoes. We both really enjoyed it. Today I'm... More

There was only one couple seated when I came in for breakfast, but the place filled up fast. Friendly waitress. I had coffee, and a basic breakfast ( 2 eggs scrambled, bacon, home fries and biscuit). I think the home fries are homemade judging by the different sizes of the potato nuggets, but the flavor was much like those I've... More

Sunrise Grill is a great place for breakfast. The wait is a testimony to that; folks want to eat breakfast here; and for good reason. The food is simple but great. Nice omlettes and egg dishes, well prepared and satisfying. Although there was also a wait for the food, the service was pleasant and truly helpful. We will definitely come... More

Pleasantly surprised with the good lunch. Good variety of sandwiches and salads, also great breakfast menu. The cucumber salad is delicious. The place could use a good scrubbing as the tables felt sticky. Enjoyed the meal

My husband and I ate breakfast here on July 5. We arrived early, around 8:30, I think. Anyway, there was no line waiting to be seated. Our server was very friendly, kept the hot coffee coming. Our food arrived quickly and was very tasty. The restaurant was definitely filling up fast after our arrival...so getting there early is the key.... More

It was our last day in Banner Elk and I wanted one more breakfast. I remember seeing the Sunrise Grill on the way to Boone and thought we would give it a try. Well, I wish we had stopped sooner. The breakfast was great and our server Caroline was great. My wife had her usual 2 eggs scrambled with bacon.... More

We are local and have always heard how great this place is. Well, we were sadly disappointed. It is a "seat yourself" joint which I always think is a bad idea. I ordered2 egg whites. I didn't think that was too ask for. They charged me $2 per egg for the egg whites in addition to my meal. For that... More

This is a great place to eat breakfast and or lunch. They are not open for dinner. Great food and prices. The servers are very friendly and your coffee cup will never be empty before someone is refilling it.
