Worth driving out of the way for!

I had the pleasure of brunch at Sunrise last Saturday and I was nothing but overwhelmingly impressed. My dining partner and I split two of the benedict like specials, one that came with beef brisket and the other with their homemade hash (I can't recall the names now but one of them was the... read more

Breakfast and lunch only, the food is excellent and it's always fun to visit with the staff. Worth the wait if it's crowded, and if you have time play a round of mini golf while you're there. The Red Velvet pancakes with cream cheese butter will fatten you up (assuming that's your goal). Otherwise, I recommend the 105 Special.

Just arrived in Boone and headed out today for a Father’s Day breakfast. Happened to see the “Sunrise Grill” and the parking lot was busy, which is usually a good sign. We were promptly greeted by the host and shown to our pristine booth. Our server was prompt and offered us hot beverages to start the refreshing cool morning (65F)... More

For two average breakfasts (eggs, meat , grits and toast) and two cups of coffee, breakfast ran us about $20. Hard to swallow when just down the road is a silver diner with better food, more plentiful servings, nicer staff and better prices. Anyone who has ever worked in a restaurant can tell you that breakfast dishes have the largest... More

The absolute best breakfast in town. Friendly wait staff, great owners and the food is divine. A must-stop for us whenever we are in town.

Nothing fancy just excellent food, great service and reasonably priced! We liked it so much that we called out the owner and chatted with her. We will visit Sunrise every time we stay in Boone. TRY THE BENEDICT!!!! Superb.

We waited a bit but it is well worth it. Food was great and service was fast. We enjoyed the atmosphere.

The staff is very friendly and attentive! The food was served quickly. My grandadaughter's grilled cheese with tater tots looked terrific, so did my husband's tuna melt. My Belgian waffle should have been crisper. It should have been served with butter, not just syrup and definitely should have been accompanied by more fruit. There was a choice of fresh blueberries... More

This place was horrible from the beginning. It didn't have a clean feel, which is an automatic strike from the beginning. It took 1 hour 20 minutes to be served a very poor tasting and lukewarm breakfast. The sausage, bacon, eggs, and grits were all very bland- aside from texture it would have been very difficult to tell them apart... More

We came for breakfast the day before Easter Sunday, specifically to try the Eggs Benedict. We were told there was a 15-20 minute wait, but we only had to wait 10 minutes. Now to the actual eggs Benedict..... First and foremost, the hollandaise sauce is liquid gold. It taste like it came directly from the heavens! This is without a... More
