This place is small but intimate. It was a cold night outside but we were warm inside. The pistachio pate appetizer and fig and prosciutto salad were outstanding. I loved the flavors of the salad with the balsamic vinegar dressing. My husband had the elk meatloaf, which was very good. Well seasoned and accompanied by one of the best mac... More

Used Traveler Advisor to find a place for dinner. Finally decided on Visalia. We were not dissappointed. Our party of 4 was delighted with their choices. Creative menu well executed. Small restaurant. Completely full even on weeknight. Be sure and call ahead for reservation. Would definitely return.

Selected Vidalia for lunch after reading TA reviews. We were not disappointed. We had the pimento and cheese sandwich and the ham and cheese sandwich. Everything about them was delicious, especially the thinly sliced homemade potato chips. We'll be back the next time we're in Boone.

Vidalia is a refreshing change from the typical mountain fare, someone here knows upscale dinning and delivers tasty food and ambiance in downtown Boone. This is a small but cozy place and it can be frustrating if you are waiting for a table...but that's just the way it is! Try this place and you to will come back

This is one of the best restaurants if not the best in Boone, NC. The food was top notch, be prepared to pay a little more, but well worth it. Would go back on the next visit for sure. Nothing else came close.

Small restaurant with about 10 tables. The food is excellent, the service problematic. The servers seemed rushed, even though ther were 3 for the 10 tables. It is not cheap. It may be worth a visit.

Great place to eat yourself sick. Had app(Pimiento Cheese), soup(gumbo), salad (classic Caesar), Short Ribs (only 3 ribs, holy huge amount of amazing all over the place), and dessert (fried Oreo things). Super reasonable corkage fee ($15) makes bringing a GREAT bottle of wine an ease and doesn't break the bank. Bar overlooking kitchen gives a Chef's table experience. Really,... More

The food is top notch and properly priced for the level of quality you are getting. Service is excellent and the desserts are out of this world. Great experience all around we will definitely be back..
