Always a Boone classic

Delicious as always. This restaurant was perfect for a Sunday lunch when other restaurants are packed in Boone. The waitstaff keeps the ordering line moving. I had the chorizo tacos that were the daily special and they were well worth it. Beware the burritos are enormous and full of flavor. Be sure... read more

The atmosphere is very chill. There was no one in there when we got our food as they were about to close. There was a lot of art on the walls. They also had a very large variety of craft beers. Definitely going to go back! Loved it.

Remembering a pleasant experience from several months ago, my husband and I opted for a Black Cat lunch last week. Service was efficient (you order as you enter, so be ready!), but my husband was very disappointed with his steak taco special. There was some mixture of seasonings on it which made it almost inedible. Cole slaw was piled into... More

The acoustics in this wooden room are awful. Noise levels bad most lunches and dinners. food and beer are ok. parking can be a problem.

I enjoyed the ambience and art work. The food I considered was good to very good. I had a burrito with the spinach wrap.

Our group walked to Black Cat from the ASU campus. It is pretty close to the gym with the climbing wall, just cross the street and head up the hill. The Black Cat has lots of tex-mex choices while also being sensitive to vegetarians with their own dedicated grill. The place has a bit of grunge vibe inside with exposed... More

You may love this place. If you love the atmosphere of an old drug den from the 70s, if you like you waitstaff to be free and easy...with their handling of food, with not being too worried about cross contamination, hygiene, all those pesky little details. If you like your requests for your food to be ignored. If you really... More

Black Cat is always a great spot to go with friends as it is warm and welcoming with friendly servers and staff. The price is somewhat high for what one receives but the ambiance makes up for it. Everything is very fresh tasting. There is a large selection of craft beers to pair with one's meal.

we ordered the kids quesadilla and once of the cooks wrote a profanity in the cheese sauce. The food is delicious but that is pretty outrageous!
