Burritos are pretty huge, so if you're hungry- order one of those! I've tried other stuff on the menu and it's so-so. They do charge 25 or 50 cents for extra stuff (including lettuce and tomato!) to put into a build your own burrito, which is a little odd. Wait staff was alright. I will probably be back.

We have been coming to The Black Cat for many years and continue to come back every time are in Boone. This time we got a gourmet burrito that was big enough for two of to share and be full. For memory's sake, we always get a rock-bottom priced PBR to drink (though we are craft beer fanatics, they have... More

OK I must say I judged this restaurant by appearance almost as soon as I walked in the door. It has cement floors and mismatched tables. You order at the counter and find a seat on your own. They give you a table marker so they know which order to bring you...a Fisher Price train, a toy dinosaur, a yellow... More

Our AppState grad son recommended the Black Cat. A cross between order fast food like, seat yourself and they serve your food. Burritos were very good. Lots to choose from. Not your regular Mexican flavors. We had the Thai me up and the Sage one. Try one!

Affordable and inventive burritos. I think that my burrito was a special called "It's all the sage" or something like that. All of our food was awesome and the decor was perfect for a college town very much like a brooding coffee shop

Just not what we expected. Wasn't the cleanest place and the servers could have cared less if they waited on you or not.

I went here yesterday with my husband & a friend. I got the BLT burrito & my husband got the fish tacos. We took the advice of the other reviews and stayed away from the ranch and the chicken. The wait staff was not very helpful. I asked what kind of sauces the had and I felt like they were... More

We stopped in early on a Friday night and were pleasantly surprised. Looks like it should be on diners, Drive ins and Dives..lol. Causal and fun. Many options and it worked well for all members of our family. Vegan and Vegetarian options, which is always a must for us. It's option hard to find a great quirky place that's good... More

Environment was fun and casual. Try the fish tacos. They were delicious. Doesn't break the bank. Located conveniently in a cute shopping area downtown in Boone.

After seeing the reviews for this place, I wanted to make sure my wife and I ate here on our last trip to Boone. Overall, we were a little disappointed. The tortilla chips were definitely the best part of our meal. They are really good. My wife got the Burrito of Brotherly Love, and that was pretty good. Lots of... More
