Place is not fancy, but offers a great venue to meet and play acoustic music. Although I have not been to every pizza place in the Boone, Blowing Rock and Banner Elk area, I have been to many, and have yet to find better pizza than at Murphy's!

Obviously Boone does not offer a ton of good options for pizza, but after hearing a ton of great reviews for the pizza here I gave it a shot and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Fairly thick crust with a flavorful sauce and not too much cheese..didn't try any other pies but the flavor and price are... More

Let me explain the title of my review. Quite simply, I like Irish bars in Ireland. I like Scottish pubs in Scotland. And I like American bars in the USA. So thank heavens, despite the Irish name, Murphy's is a good old American sports bar. I would guess that it is the main bar in town and the atmosphere, even... More

Location is perfect to visit Old Boone Shops and more. Parking availability good but you have to PAY the Hungry meter or possibly get a ticket (parking wars) or saw signs in a few business about get ticket validated/voided? Atmosphere GOOD! Sat at Bar had several Guiness and a really good Reuben!!

Murphy's pizza is not only the best tasting in Boone/BR... but you cannot beat the awesome price. We make it a point to find a great local pie.. and this is IT! Live here full time and always come back to Murphy's for beer and a pizza!! WONDERFUL!!!

After a BBQ dinner we looked for a bar with pool tables in Boone and we went to Murphy's. This bar is actually divided in 2 areas of which one is actually a bar with four pool tables on one side and the other is a restaurant. To me the bar part looked more like a college bar, than a... More

Irish pub in Boone. Bartender was nice....food was microwaved.....hence really bad. I should've ordered pizza. Reasonably priced but almost inedible....just get your drink on here then walk to one of the numerous nice restaurants in town.

Only one visit but we'll be back. Grouper sandwich is terrific and a bargain. Burger and fries (my specialty) as good as it gets. May be a little loud, but it's a college place... get into the ambiance.
