A Boone Institution

Just a home-town kind of place. Next to Harris-Tetter supermarket so the two go hand-in-hand. Eat, shop or shop, eat! I think Marble Slab is there too so just get a lot done in a small space. Def get the Gene Lawson sandwich which is warmed turkey, jack cheese and mushrooms!

Food ok, but price not in line with quality or portion size. Would not recommend or return.

The menu is very overpriced. Our sandwich was less than average and served with the world's worst teriyaki sauce; the curly fries were identical to Arby's, but slightly less good. The side of fruit we ordered was plentiful. That's about the only good thing we can say. Service was slow but otherwise average.

There are a lot of unique restaurants in Boone everyone should try out, but this ain't one of them. The french onion soup is tasty and that's about it. Most of the servers I've had are rude and sassy. As of June 2012, their sanitation grade was a 90, which is the lowest I have ever seen in Boone. I've... More

This place has a great salad bar and the food from the menu is also excellent. Never had anything bad here.

My wife and I happened to be back in Boone in March. Being from the area we use to come here a lot but hadn't been in a couple years. The place has sure changed. We choose to sit in the bar area, just because that's where we are comfortable eating lunch. The bar stools are very uncomfortable. The bartender... More

Good place to sit down and eat for a pretty good price. Nice variety of food and good deserts

After much thought, we decided to give Peppers another shot while in Boone visiting, Our waiter Jamie was the best, it is amazing how much better the food is when warm and the order brought to the table correct the first time. If you go, ask for Jamie, we will..

I live in Boone and I love eating at a few of the local spots, and Pepper's we keep on trying but the last time I ate there was the last straw. We have been there about a dozen times because the food gets us coming back, but because of the service it is almost a disappointment. I am not... More
