Local, good and inexpensive

This is a local place that has been here since the 70's so you know there are a reason people keep coming back. Don't let the fact that it move to a strip mall fool you, it's still looks about the same inside as it did when it was in it's own building off hwy 321. They have a salad... read more

A friend and I went for dinner on Tuesday night at 7:30 There were two people in the bar and two people in the dining room. We ordered the salad bar and she had soup, I had the $2 fish taco special. The salad bar was dismal. It was not restocked, the lettuce had large chunks of brown in it.... More

I went here for lunch with a coworker and had the salad bar and potato soup. Both were good - I would go again.

As always, we had fabulous service at Pepper's, and a lovely lunch for four. We had such delicious soup and chili on this very cold day, and great sandwiches. Our daughter loves Pepper's curly fries, and I so appreciate their extensive salad bar. he rustic atmosphere is fun, and we can always count on seeing at least a few local... More

Someone told me to try it, so we pulled up in the shopping center and it looked okay. Then we walked in and it was set up like a barn sort of. The booths are like stalls with a trellis over top and some group tables in the middle. Salad bar! Excellent! Peppers sub for me. Delicious! Only problem is... More

Peppers is consistent and good. Prices are a little high but they use quality ingrediants. It is a good "go-to" place and has been around for years. Thanks for being there Jack Pepper!

We have been weekenders in Valle Crucis for almost five years, and finally tried Pepper's. We went for lunch and were pleased with the quality and quantity of our meals. The menu was very extensive and reasonably priced. The service was prompt and friendly as well. Overall a great place we will add to our favorite Boone restaurants.

Wedged in the dog leg of a strip shopping center off the main road of Boone is Pepper's, which from the outside looks like a place that isn't all that exciting. Looks are deceiving. On a cold, blustry ski weekend Friday night, the warm atmosphere of Pepper's is like a hug. Eat at the bar and the atmosphere is so... More
