I am really ambivalent about this place. I have been there a couple of times and the food was OK, but I wouldn't rave about it. My husband is less picky and would say it is just fine. I guess I would just go with.....ok.....

A great privately owned Restaurant. A wonderful place for lunch. A great change from all of the franchises that have blown up in Boone

I get to Boone about once a year, and Pepper's is the place to eat lunch! The Jean Lawson sandwich is the ol' standby, as well as the fried mushrooms... already looking forward to my next visit to Boone!

The seating was comfortable, great service and the French Onion soup was excellent! I will come back.

I love a place with a salad bar and this one is amazing. The croutons are fabulous and there are lots of healthy options. Also, they have great sandwiches (including the Jean Lawson w/mushrooms, my fiance's favorite). All in all, a good place for a good price.

Neighborhood restaurant with friendly down home good food. We go here frequently and usually eat at the bar which is in separate room. Its just a solid good value with a good variety of Ameican food.

We have had good experiences here, and very bad ones, so we tried to see if the bad one was an outlier. Nope, still not good, average or below service, okay luncheon. We have friends who have been strong supporters of this restaurant for years who said that they no longer go because of the same variability of quality and... More

If you're visiting Boone, you must make time to eat at Peppers. Most servers are students, and are very accommodating. As an appetizer, order the homemade fried mushrooms served with ranch and spicy mustard or the hand-breaded, thinly-sliced onion rings. You'll LOVE them! Or, act like a regular and ask for a mixture of both rings and mushrooms. Pepper's burgers... More

I frequent Peppers 1-2 times per month. It's not bad but very average for the most part. Let's face it, there just aren't many restaurants in this town above average. The build your own sandwich usually comes out well. I also like the steak sandwich. But, be warned you will get a thinly sliced 1/4" thick extremely fatty cut, even... More

The last few times we have been here the service has been pretty bad, many of the employees seem very off-putting and aren't very friendly. The last time we ate there we waited for 5-10 minuets just to get greeted after sitting down, and they weren't very busy at all. We were also seated so close to the next table... More
