While visiting friends in the area, they got takeout from Joe's for dinner one night -- a baked ziti. It was delicious. They said it is their "go-to" place for Italian food.

We were just in Boone for the Grandfather MTN Highland Games and in four days went to Joe's twice. My teen girls and I loved the atmosphere with Frank Sinatra and friends playing through the speakers and pictures of family and NYC on the walls. The first visit we had the stromboli and fried zucchini appetizer. The zucchini was apparently... More

The fancy side wasn't open when we arrived. We ordered pasta, delicious sauce! Spaghetti was kind of thin and premade (saw the chef take premade pasta out of drawer and drop into hot water to reheat) - still delicious though! Took leftovers home and had them for lunch the next day. Ordered the cannoli (excited about that) but ended up... More

I craved Italian on our family Boone trip, and I got it at Joe's! We read reviews on TripAdvisor to make selection, and reviews did not lead me astray (thank you)! My husband, 2 yr-old and I enjoyed spaghetti and meatballs along with the lasagna. Everything tasted absolutely delicious with beautiful presentation. I would enjoy the restaurant at any stage... I am very picky about Italian food and this is the real thing! This is real Italian gravy not something premade from a jar. Homemade sausage, too which are on several entrees as well as for sale by the pound. Cannoli are also fresh and filled as you order them. They have family size pasta bowls available for feeding a... This was our first ever visit to this restaurant. We have gone to other Italian places on this and previous visits to the area. But while others have folded, Joe's has endured fortunately. While I was surprised by and not too enamored with getting your own menu, silverware, and placing your order at a counter, I was very happy with... More

Don't let the location and campy decor of this restaraunt fool you. The food is great! Many items (including the sausage and mozzarella cheese) are made in-house. It's a small place, but the food is delicious. If you have a family, the family order of spaghetti is perfect!!

We had a lovely dinner with two other couples last night. One of the men is an Italian from Rhode Island and a former chef - a very discerning dinner customer. From the moment we stepped inside until Joe followed us out, everything was amazing! Joe greeted us with hugs and showed us personally to a table that he put... More

Long time regulars, we love Joes for having the best Italian food in the area and probably the best meatballs south of Philadelphia! But we also love it when he does his seasonal specials...this week it's his Mardi Gras menu. We stopped for lunch the other day and I had the Gumbo which was better than any Gumbo I have... More

Not very many places in Boone to have a quiet romantic sit down dinner but Joe's Jazzed up is wonderful! Enjoyed the soft light and music and the food was fabulous!
