We like the atmosphere and little touches with cardboard cutout trays for the kids' meals. But the quantity and quality of the food was just so-so. Small portions of just about everything. The milkshakes were mostly milk with chucks of ice-cream and the big chucks of topping we had order.

Had breakfast here on Sunday morning. Great service. Great food at a very reasonable price. Hometown feel with locals and regulars. I try to stay away from chains when I travel whenever possible. This place is going to be one of our regular spots as we continue to visit the mountains.

My husband and I stopped in Boone on our way to Cherokee, NC. We decided to try the diner next door to our hotel and boy was that a bad decision. I ordered some type pasta (can't even remember the name of it) and when the waitress brought it out, my husband and I just stared at each other and... More

…of the diner choices we picked the Black and Burger, a kids burger, chicken tenders, and a not so traditional BBQ Chicken quesadilla. The good news, FRIES were amazing, unfortunately not real HIENS catsup, but we all enjoyed the fires. The burgers were disappointing, as the kids had more “burnt char” then meat. And I have nothing good to say... More

classic 50's diner--great milk shakes! Loved the juke boxes and location is perfect. Priced right and staff is super friendly!

The waiter and waitresses were very accommodating to our dietary needs. We ate breakfast here 3 times and dinner here once in our week's stay. The fries with my Philly cheesesteak sandwich we delicious. My only wish is that it was open earlier in the morning. When leaving town at 6:30 a.m. we wanted to have a good breakfast before... More

Food is American. The staff is super friendly. The location is easy to get in and out of with a good size parking lot for Boone. I would eat there again.

We wanted to try something local for lunch and after reading the reviews we gave this diner a try figuring there would be many options. Well they had many options but the food wasn't very good. My wife had a salad and I had an open faced turkey sandwich. We just had waters and the bill was over $22 with... More

We ordered a cheeseburger, chicken tenders, and a hamburger steak during our visit. All were delicious, but the fries were our favorite. The hamburger steak plate was a great value, but the chicken tenders felt a bit overpriced, though they were tasty. I wouldn't suggest the mac and cheese, though. It was only okay. The service was fantastic. Our server... More
