This was a huge disappointment for us.I had scoped this spot out over the net. My dear friends who were hosting us in Boone thought it to be a good choice as she had been there a few times, although he had not. We had reservations for Friday evening, 630 pm. We arrived and were seated on time. The waitress... More

My husband & I were in town for several days and after a long day of shopping and antiquing all over the area, we were craving some spaghetti and definitely found it at Casa Rustica! We arrived early and did not have dinner reservations but promptly seated to a nice table in the main dining room. Our server, Kara was... More

Were in town for a show at the Shaefer Center at App State. I think because of the show the places we wanted to eat at were all booked up, so went to Casa Rustica as a Plan C. I would characterize it as home style Italian cuisine in a rustic cabin like setting. It was "A-OK." We began with... More

We just had another wonderful meal at Casa Rustica. We were celebrating our 56th anniversary and were there with two other couples. All of our meals were excellent and our waitress was great. We are never disappointed when we eat there. The atmosphere is just delightful. Recommend it highly.

Local friends met us here of dinner. I ordered the "create your own pasta" with Linguini, marinara, primavera and grilled shrimp. Started with house salad and yummy bread. Entree arrived and It was a huge portion. I could not eat it all. We ordered the special 10 layer Tiramisu "cake" and their regular Tiramisu, to compare the two. Their regular... More

We meet our friends and enjoyed over 2 hours of dinner and conversation. I ordered the create your own pasta dinner. I wanted whole wheat spaghetti and meatballs. I had my choice of soup or dinner salad or caesar salad. Our friends ordered the caesar salad and the portion was full. My dinner salad also was portioned well. The house... More

In a mountain college town, on the busy 4th of July weekend (July 5th) I found the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy itself (and better than most I had there!). I tasted the special salmon and leek chowder and grilled salmon my friend had, and loved it. Due to illness, I have certain dietary restrictions, and... More

We have been to Casa Rustica several times as it is the only Italian Restaurant in the area! The food is average...not great yet not terrible. The service is also not terrific yet friendly. Last time we waited 10 minutes for a glass of wine when we sat down...this time...almost 15 minutes. The waiter told me when I questioned him... More

This is my second time here. Both times service was extremely slow and not attentive. In both cases had to ask for plates, bread, salads, etc. Meals took forever to be served. I ordered eggplant parm with risotto. The eggplant had a thick layer of undercooked onions in between. The risotto had chunks of crunchy onions. My daughters ordered kids... More
