We had high hopes for this cafe, given the descriptions of creative, local fare. Many of the choices consisted of a lot of different items mushed together on a plate--not particularly flavorful. We sat inside since the outside seating area was full and found the inside a little dingy. All in all, it was OK, but we wouldn't return.

Don't let the name give you the wrong impression: This is not plain style or even Southern style farm-type cuisine. Hob Nob offers a huge variety of foods from multiple cuisines and each dish is extremely complex in flavors and small bits of accent foods all over the plate. You'll say,"Wow!" when you see your order. That's for sure. It's... More

Food was great. All locally grown food. The quinoa cakes were great. We also had the enchiladas with added chicken. Very tasty. Average prices.

Good craft beer selection. Interesting menu with good variety. It was busy but service was efficient and the manager helped out to assure we were being waited on.

The menu is very different. They combine ingredients on sandwiches that you don't ordinarily see. Many of the dishes are vegetarian. My husband had buffalo mozzarella ravioli in a tomato cream sauce that was very good. I had nachos with a lot of ingredients. You wouldn't expect the varied menu looking at the outside, but give it a try!

This was a nice little place downtown right on the main street that goes through Boone. Half indoor and outdoor seating, so we sat outside because the weather was nice. The menu was excellent with many vegetarian options, some vegan, and plenty of uncommon and interesting dishes. Healthy, but not too expensive! The food was fresh and exactly as described... More

Out of the ordinary, casual atmosphere with porch dining made for an enjoyable lunch! Many gluten free options and nice sized lunch portions were pleasing for the entire family.

A rather eclectic restaurant that offers vegetarian, vegan and meat lovers fare. All the meat is local and grass fed. A really I interesting menu ranging from burritos with sweet potatoes to meat loaf. The chicken is free range and prepared several ways. I am a meat lover but when it comes to desserts the vegan chocolate cake is one... More

Excellent local organic food and friendly service. A relax café serving antibiotic free meat, no artificial flavours or colourings. Meat/seafood. Vegetarian/vegan. My husband has dietary restrictions and this was not a problem, full list of ingredients available, this is such a plus, knowing you can order with confidence.
