Great local ingredients creatively prepared

A local favorite, we finally timed our meal with their hours, and after a short wait outside in the setting sun, we enjoyed a fabulously delicious meal -- each of us ordering something different. You won't be disappointed, even if there is wait.

We loved this place! It had a very unique menu with foods that most people love with a little twist to it!! You can get a yummy one-of-a-kind meal here that is fresh and delicious. A fun and laid-back place to dine.

The Jamaican Pork Belly Burger was an amazing blend of flavors (pork, pineapple, mango, etc.) with caramelized plantains and vanilla yogurt on the side. I have a large appetite and was very surprised that I was full after eating this lunch dish.

The owner's of the B&B we stayed in recommended Hob Nob when we expressed an interest in wholesome, down-home good cooking. Hob Nob delivers with offerings from the owner's and other nearby farms: we both had the absolutely delicious meatloaf with mashed potatoes, gravy and a mix of fresh vegetables - and followed it up with what my wife described... Slow food can mean carefully cooked and plated items featuring fresh, local ingredients. Hob Nob Farm Cafe does feature that kind of slow food. Unfortunately, it also can mean that it takes a really, really long time to get served! On a recent occasion at lunchtime, we waited a full hour before seeing our meals -- and all we ordered... On a recent family trip to Boone (in Feb), we decided to eat one of our dinners here, based on a good friend's recommendation. We initially were hesitant, as it looks very small and there was nothing special about the building (from the road). After eating here however, I am glad we were not too quick to "judge this book... Kate, Kappa and Brian know their stuff. Great prices and wonderful fusion food. You can sit in the back or near the outdoor terrace. Hard to spend a lot of money.

My daughter went to the Hob Nob in Boone on a Saturday night. It was all lit up and looked very interesting. When we entered, it was fairly busy, with a diner like atmosphere and not very nice. After we were seated, a very cold snippy waiter took our drink order. My daughter asked for a Dr Pepper, and he... More

This restaurant has a very unique and eclectic food. I had a little trouble trying to find something that was gluten free but the waiter was very helpful assisting me to adapt a meal. The food was very good and great service.

Went for Sunday brunch. Huervos Rancheros and Chicken Burrito's were good, but we did have a bit of a wait. However, this is not a large complaint. Wait staff pleasant. They only take cash and no credit cards - it's clearly noted when you arrive and they did mention to make sure we were aware. I'd go back.
