This spot is a great casual dining option--totally original menu they call Caribbean southwest soul food. The specialty appears to be their "bowls", which are individually sized casseroles anchored with cornbread or rice. The portions are hearty without being obnoxious; you have protein choices like tofu, chorizo, jerk chicken, shrimp, beans, tilapia..... Everything is fresh and delicious, especially their house... Coyote Kitchen and it's employees do a great job of catering to each individual's dietary needs. If you're vegan, they can work with you. If you're celiac, they can work with you. Whatever your needs they are more than eager to make your meal a success.

The menu in this little, cozy place, if filled with many healthy and GF options. Would not of thought so from first impressions. The food was great tasting and served hot. Myself and two companions all enjoyed our meals! The staff was friendly and very attentive. The sweet potato fries were great! The cream cheese dessert was a little dry,... More

This is a Caribbean southwest soul food place. my husband and I weren't sure what to expect but so glad we tried it. The waiter recommended their specialty which is "bowls". Then said that if we wanted to make any changes feel welcomed. We both customized our choices and were so happy. The food was delicious. They were also real... More

Very pleased with the meal, I had the Kobe tacos and my son had the jerk chicken tacos. We split and both were outstanding! Service is friendly and attentive. Is is a small joint so call ahead 15 minutes so you can be seated promptly. Black cherry Sangria is the bomb! Mango salsa on the Kobe is a must! $24... More

We stopped for lunch and were most pleasantly surprised. We were greeted by a delightful young lady, Kim, who turned out to be our waitperson. She took time to explain the vast menu and let us know we could order any combination we desired. We ordered and in a very reasonable time were served with interesting, tasty and very different... The Scene: While on vacation in Blowing Rock, made a quick jaunt to Boone to try this restaurant out. In a strip mall near the local Walmart, we arrived just in time before the rush came. Small but colorful, not too dissimilar from your standard strip mall Mexican joint from an appearance standpoint. The Experience: One look at the menu... More

We stopped in here for lunch today while on vacation in Boone. What a great place this is! A small place with many menu choices. The boats were the best, great flavors, nice portions. The menu has something for everyone. We will definitely be stopping here again on our next visit.

After placing our name on the list (Which we were the first people on the list) our party of 5 consisted of 3 adults and 2 children were told the wait would be no more than 20 mins. After 45 mins and having SEVERAL parties walk in and be immediately seated we had no choice but to leave. There were... More

My husband and I ate at Coyote Grill today, and we will definately come back to try more. He got the Chicken Jerk Tacos with Pineapple Habanero Salsa. I got the Barbados Boat (which is a casserole style dish containing coconut rice, pineapples, black beans, sweet potatoes, cheese, and Jerk chicken) I had the pico de gallo salsa with that.... More
