Unexpected pleasure

Though small and out-of-the-way, the food and wine were superb! We were served quickly and waited on thoroughly.

Chips were stale and the service was spacey, but the food was absolutely delicious; good beer selection too. They were accommodating to the table change we wanted, overall a nice lunch.

We were in town for a local ultra race, and this restaurant was highly recommended to us by one of the locals. We were tired and starving after the race, so we thought it would be great to try it out. Worst mistake ever. Not everything about the restaurant was terrible. We had an awesome waiter! He was very friendly!... More

I had not been here in years. We had friendly service, prompt delivery of food, and it was great. It catered to two gluten free eaters and a vegan with no problem. I would definitely go back (and ask for the special sauces they make each week).

Looking for a place to eat in Boone and the menu of this place caught my eye because it seemed so unique. Ended up driving by it 3 times because I couldn't find Southgate Drive. The street isn't labeled but the restaurant is in the same center as the Walmart. Colorful and eclectic inside. Our waiter was super helpful and... More

Good location. Food is Tex/Mex/Caribbean. They do not take reservations, but did a great job seating and serving our large party on a Friday night. Atmosphere is fun. There is outdoor seating. Food is good and tasty. There are plenty of vegetarian options.

My wife and I ate here after reading about gluten free restaurants in the Boone area. As we looked over their website, only 4 things in house where made with gluten. They make all their own sauces from scratch. I think that it is a sign of a good restaurants that they make their own sauces! Everything tastes better fresh!... More

My husband has been diagnosed with celiac disease for three years. He's deathly afraid to eat out due to the risk of cross contamination. My husband talked with the manager at Coyote Kitchen a week before we went to Boone & he assured him that his dietary needs would be met as they are "friendly" to those with celiac. Boy,... More

Coyote Kitchen is not for people with bland taste in food. The kitchen has a very unique menu that is well worth a visit if you want to try something new!

Small interior, but has some outside seating in warm weather. The boats are especially tasty. Cactus had coconut rice, black beans, rosemary chicken caramelized onions baked with cheese and was excellent!
