Stopped in for a quick bite mid afternoon. Great location and great pub atmosphere. Draft Guinness was excellent. All of us had soup, and it was excellent. Good service. The food on the neighboring tables also looked yummy.

We happened into Six Pence in the middle of Blowing Rock 's annual Christmas parade, so it was jam packed. The wait was still only about 20 minutes. Six pence is a very authentic pub experience ..crowded and noisy with tables close together ! Sports on the TV's and music in the background. It's great! You get to know those... More

Great beer selection and knowledgeable wait staff. I had the fish & chips, my buddy had the pork chops and all was fantastic!

The fried mac & cheese is worth the drive from Alabama to North Carolina! When we return to Blowing Rock, we will definitely be visiting again.

Great service, authentic atmosphere and very good fish and chips. No complaints. Skipped dessert but saw several very tasty looking ones pass us by. Would come back.

I've been to England twice and never experienced the "Ploughman's Lunch." So I thought this would be a good place to try it. I wasn't disappointed. Very nice pub atmosphere and good food.

Nice little bar / restaurant right in the centre of town. Very friendly staff, decent food, good wine range and nice selection of craft beers. My wife and I went a few times during our stay, mainly for drinks and light meals. All good and no negatives. However, the place gets very busy on the weekend, even in the off... More

They were busy but the food was delivered quickly and was very good. Service was extremely good. The bread pudding was off scale good. We'll do a repeat

historic and cozy pub that had a pretty good menu. I got the Shepard's pie and husband had the prime rib. Both were delicious. For you girly girls out there they had a pumpkintini as their special drink, wow! Delish!
