Stopped in Blowing Rock for night and found 6 pence because there was a parking place in front and it was cold for a long walk! Happy we found it - food was good, service was excellent and atmosphere was delightful. Good UK pub food if you like that, but many other selections too. You will enjoy it - ck... More

We ate there for Mother's Day. Their standard soup is French onion & it was a solid 5 out of 5. I had the crab cakes with their fries substituted for mashed potatoes & veggies. My husband had the 3 salad plate - tuna, chicken & shrimp. Neither of us could finish our meals. They serve very large portions. It... More

We ducked in out of the rain for a quick lunch! It was a perfect day for soup and their onion soup was very good! Also had a pastrami sandwich and potato salad.. Both were very good although I am used to crusty NY rye so the bread lacked something. My husband had a very good Gouda burger with great... More

The best pub food in Blowing Rock. We spent part of the afternoon sitting on their patio enjoying clod beer and watching people walk by. Another day we had a great lunch (sandwiches and delicious sides). Nice central location on Blowing Rock's Main Street.

We stopped in at the Six Pence Pub after a day of sightseeing, The total space is somewhat small but it is cozy. We chose to sit in the bar just because it looked like a fun place. We had a very nice, knowledgeable server. They do have a wide selection of beer, however we did not taste them. We... More

Only went to the bar area but it was nice. Good selection of beer and scotch. The mac n cheese bites were to die FOR!!! TVs up for sports, and great service.

Went to Blowing Rock for the Wine Fest, but came here to enjoy the Beer Sampler. Ben, our waiter, recommended a Beer Platter along with the dish they're most noted for - Fish n Chips. Great combination and great food. Beer bettered fish can some sometimes be a little mushy if not done right - this was very crispy coated... More

We had shepherds pie and scotch eggs on the patio at this pub. They were dog friendly and gave us water for our pooch. The beer was cold & shepherds pie was tasty. I only wish the scotch eggs were served warm. Servers were kind and let us sit after our meal since they weren't crowded.
