After a morning of exploring around the Moses Cone house and grounds a few miles away on the Blue Ridge Parkway, we drove over to Blowing Rock for lunch. Very busy/crowded because it was a beautiful day and we're getting close to the end of the season. Six Pence Pub was a few blocks up the Main Street from where... More

Sat both on the outdoor patio and inside. It is very small inside but cozy. The salmon was really good and so was the tomato bisque. Fish and chips could be better.

Sorry to do this but not a good experience. Our group was in for a late lunch and Rob Zombie (Death Metal) was playing, followed by the Beastie Boys (rap) both of which I like but not at lunch time in an Irish Pub. We asked our waitress to change it and she said in the absence of the manager... More

We go here frequently for lunch when visiting Blowing Rock. Love the fish and chips which we order the large portion and share. It is like an old British Pub. Lots of local beers. Good service and atmosphere. Can be very busy on weekends so you may wait. We sometimes sit at bar when too crowded to get table.

My wife and I stayed in Blowing Rock around Christmas, and had a late lunch/early dinner here. The Shepherd's Pie and the Stew were tasty and fresh. The servers were helpful and patient with us - even though the restaurant was very crowded.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch but were not impressed with the food. He had sausage with gravy and asparagus which arrived cold. I had the salmon BLT with potato salad. I did like the potato salad, but the bacon on the salmon was undercooked. I think the pub atmosphere is the main attraction because the food was... More

Good pub atmosphere and food. Scotch eggs are very good as was the potato cheese soup. Fresh bread on sandwiches.

While recently in Blowing Rock we stopped by the pub for dinner. We had read the reviews and from our experience they were all correct, it was great. Our server was courteous and helpful. Both my husband and I ordered the fish and chips and was very pleased. We definitely would revisit the pub if in the area. Food prepared... More

Loved the scotch eggs! Appreciated the offering of gluten-free bread. The outside seating was wonderful.

Loved the espresso martini. The bartender had quite a personalty and let us really enjoy ourselves for a couple of hours.
