Looking for some good late night food and a beer. Here it is. Very good food, pleasant service and down town location.

We did lunch here on our first day and it was an excellent choice. Fish & Chips were off the chain and the sandwiches were freshly made with much love.

Food was OK but soup was very salty without much other flavor. It took 1/2 hour to get our dessert which was outrageous!

Extensive menu and beer list. Vegetarian friendly. Staff is excellent. I could've eaten there every day!

My hisband and I ate at Six pence on Tuesday for lunch. We had our little dog with us. We were lucky that at Six pence customers with animals can eat outside on the patio. We ordered Fish and Chips, French Onion soup and drinks. Boom! A storm approached. All the people outside ran for the indoor seating. Not us.... More

Visiting blowing Rock with the family and stumbled upon this restaurant when Mellow Mushroom line was too long. I'm so glad we did! I ordered the French onion soup and cod sandwich and both exceeded every expectation. The cod was beautiful and portions very generous. Wait staff was a little slow and forgot our drink orders more than once, but... More

When nothing else in town is open Six Pence is and always welcoming with good food, drink and service. Very nice pub atmosphere with much UK memorabilia in the decor. Cheers!

Visited for dinner. I got fish and chips, my husband got open faced roast beef sandwich with gravy. Both were decent. I guess your average pub food. Service was slow, even though we were one of only two tables sitting out on patio.

Fish and chips, shepherds pie, and soup and 1/2 corned beef sandwich.....not a winner out of three choices. Not even close. None of these are complicated or unusual to prepare. Onion soup was tasteless, shepherds pie had a strange spice in it, and chips were limp potato slices. Fish was just OK. Potato fritter appetizer was better than anything else.... More

This place was recommended by a friend. We went on a Wednesday in August around 2Pm for a shopping break in Blowing Rock. They were not very busy. The staff was very young and pleasant but got 2 out of 4 orders wrong. The food was uninspiring and their French Onion soup was tasteless. They were playing heavy metal music... More
