I was very surprised to see that it had an authentic English feel to it. It's a good find in the small town of Blowing Rock. I got the Barbecue chicken salad and it was really good.

We walked in Six Pence for lunch and were greeted and seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We ordered a burger and a Ruben. Both were cooked perfectly and just delicious. This is a place we would go back to again and again if we lived in the area. We learned from several of the locals that... More

Loved the apps and the adult smores hot coco. Great atmosphere , games on TV and all servers were knowledgable about area and what to do. Loved hanging there and can't wait to go back.

When you have had enough of the boutiques and shops on Main St and need a brief respite, this is your place. Expect big crowds during the lunch hours, but the staff does a good job turning over tables, so your wait won't be too long. Good selection of beers as well.

Nice find in downtown Blowing Rock. It's not a local joint but rather a very small chain place. Maybe three other locations all in tourist locations. So this is an English pub style restaurant. Typical Americanized English bar menu with burgers, salads, fish and chips, shepherds pie, etc. Place is small on the inside, with a bar section and separate... More

We all really enjoyed our food, but besides those who had burgers we all wished there was more. One of us had the smallest shepherds pie I've seen in a small bowl you'd usually see a side item served in. I had the Guinness beef tips served in the same size bowl. The salads that came with these were good,... More

This was a great place to come after an evening of skiing -- it was recommended to us as one of only 2 places open late in Blowing Rock. We wrapped up skiing and arrived at the pub around 10 -- nice and warm and cozy pub atmosphere and the service and food were excellent! Burgers were great, as was... More

We drove a hundred miles to have lunch there again. We enjoy the ambience, service, and food. That is a round trip by the way
