My wife and I ate here 2 times in a week due to this place being within walking distance of where we were staying. The atmosphere is typical of most US pubs with a British name or theme. The place seemed clean. Our waiters were nice. The service wasn't blazing fast, but we got our food within a reasonable time... More

This is a must go place while you're in Blowing Rock, NC. My husband and I were in town to celebrate our 30th anniversary, and stumbled into the Six Pense after we had strolled the streets, window shopping. Noah, at the bar, was well versed in making a Black and Tan (and other drink/beer specialties) and was very nice. So... More

I went there with some friends and had dinner and drinks. The crab cakes were excellent, plenty of crab. The beers were cold and good and the bartender was great. I would go back again.

Went there for lunch on a friend's recommendation. The place was busy, so be prepared to wait a few minutes. There is a nice patio for outdoors eating as well. I ordered the fish and chips dish and have to say that it was one of the best fish and chips i have ever eaten. A little bit different from... More

Love this little pub! The food is great and the staff is super friendly and very accommodating. The chicken salad sandwich is wonderful, big juicy burgers as well as the traditional pub fare make-up the menu. Their "23" is a delicious Chocolate Martini! Six-Pence is definitely a stop every time we visit Blowing Rock !

Waitresses were really nice and helpful. We just had appetisers here - wings which my son loved the flavour and the stuffed portabella mushrooms. Wasnt overly expensive.

My wife and I ate here a while back. We both had the fish and chips and it was very good. The fish and chips were not overly salty like some places and the beer selecting on tap was great. Will eat here again the next time I'm in town.

On a day-trip from Greenville SC to the North Carolina mountains my brother and I stopped at Blowing Rock after our visit to Grandfather Mountain, where we had worked up an appetite. So our primary purpose was to choose the right restaurant for lunch. There are several restaurants along Main Street, but we narrowed the field to three, and finally... More

Fun relaxed atmosphere. Great place to stop for a beer and chat with locals or tourists. Menu is classic Pub fare - fish and chips, bangers etc.

Quick lunch after hiking all morning. Loved the atmosphere of an English pub. Very good food, sorry we didn't try anything other than soup and sandwich. We'll have to go back.
