Get the fried pickles!

This is where my sister and I always go to to have a cocktail and some time together when we are visiting town without the rest of the family. The cocktails are consistently good and we have worked our way through the appetizer menu. Now, we always order the fried pickles and something else... read more

I go to Six Pence every time I'm in blowing Rock, whether it's with family, friends, or just me. Outstanding food. Outstanding drinks. Outstanding people. Outstanding atmosphere. Food-wise, my favorites are the Reuben and the fish (cod) 'n chips. I had the prime rib cheese steak sandwich for lunch last weekend, too, and it was also incredible. And their soup... More

Ordered nachos with beef based on another review I read....absolutely delish, homemade tortillas and lots of flavor in the beef! Atmosphere is fun and outdoor dining will be nice in the spring or fall.

I had been to their sister restaurant in Savanah and wanted to see if it was as good. Everything I had was just as good down to the decor being almost the same. The one disappointment in eating here was they didn't have the shrimp salad that Savanah has. I had the chicken salad and French onion soup and both... More

Looked OK from the outside so we dropped in to give it a try. I'm glad we did! My wife got the Gouda Burger (delicious!) and I tried the fish n chips (authentic English style). Really good food at a reasonable price.

Nice, friendly place if you are solo. Sit at the bar. Chat with the interesting folks who work here. The food is nice and the people are nicer.

A busy spot on a Saturday afternoon, still, we managed to sit at the bar and enjoyed the appetizer / lunch menu. Great Fish & Chips - what you would expect in good pub-grub. Good service and a fun and friendly atmosphere. Would visit again and would recommend.

It's a nice place with a good variety of drinks. The turkey sandwich was very good. The service was great and the food got me me quickly which I appreciate after a very long drive that day. Give it a shot.
