A Regular Stop for Us

We visited here on Valentine’s Day about 2:30 in the afternoon. It was full and we had to wait about 30 minutes as promised. It was worth the wait. The beer was cold and the food was great. I had a Scotch egg appetizer and it was plenty for me as my meal. Everyone else in our party enjoyed... read more

We ended up here because the Village café was closed until April. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was great. The food was a little pricey for the soup and sandwiches that we got, but I guess that is to be expected in Blowing Rock. Overall, food was good. Fried pickles were great!

The restaurant is definitely a PUB ATMOSPHERE. I would not go for a romantic meal. The food ordered by my son and husband was excellent---not what I like. Prime RIb served with string beans and a soup. My son had an open face roast beef sandwich!!! Too much meat for me. Salads that were served looked good. I had a... More

Six Pence Pub has been a Blowing Rock favorite of ours for several years now. Always great food, nice portions and a great atmosphere. Our favorites are the Fish & Chips, the Shepherd's Pie and the Beef & Guinness. The hard part is decided which to have!

Very VERY good soups, it can be very crowded and there is a reason for that!! The prices are reasonable for a tourist town and the soups change daily, we went back several times...

Watched Superbowl XLIX (49) there and it was awesome! Lauren (Lo) (the bar tender) was a sweetheart and knows how to tend bar like a champ ;)! Next time we're in Blowing Rock we will stop by the Six Pense Pub!

We always sit in the bar at one of the high top tables by the window and enjoy both looking outside as well as watching whatever sporting event is on the tv. Sandwiches and soups are very good and the sandwiches are enough to be split and shared between two. They just added an outdoor patio so we are anxious... More

I had the wonderful salmon over spinach salad. Others had the Greek salad and fish with chips and said it was very good. I hope to go back real soon.

Met here with friends on Main Street on a cold January day. The atmosphere inside was warm, fun, and a great selection of local brews and a very nice looking menu. We enjoyed the homemade nachos and a few local brews, soaking in the atmosphere and enjoying the comraderie of the place - great fun!
