Outside dining at its best!

We have eaten at the Best Cellar on several occasions but this was the nicest experience yet. Our hostess, Martha, gave us a wonderful seat on the front porch with a full view of the beautiful garden. She brought my wife a wrap because the evening turned a little cool. The server, Lou, took... read more

I chose to eat here for this year's Blowing Rock restaurant week and I am thrilled with my decision. The pre-fixe menu was delicious and a great deal for thirty dollars. I had the french onion soup, crab cakes, and pecan pie. The food was delicious and left me eager to try the other items on the menu! Great location,... More

I needed a special place for a small dinner gathering for my husbands's birthday. Missy at Best Cellar arranged for us to use one of their smaller dining rooms. When my husband and I arrived, everyone else was already there with wine ready for a toast. The hostess did not give any hint that our visit was anything other than... More

My husband and I have been going to the Blowing Rock area for 30 years. I don't recall the first time we dined at Best Cellar, in the old location of course, but I do remember being totally Wowed by the best fine dining experience ever. We had not been since they changed locations, it has been a couple years... More

I personally didn't eat here but it is very nice the Inn is very nice the restaurant dining is set-up in rooms each called by a different name such as the Wine cellar, the porch, the cave etc. it is pricey, but I think for a special event such as an anniversary, birthday, romantic get away it is really nice.

Beautiful Restaurant in a wonderful old Mansion right in the middle of Blowing Rock. Don't miss Friday evenings in the summer for its Music on the lawn, with drinks. Big crowd of locals and tourists .Very, very popular and we highly recommend. We had a ball dancing and singing to one of the best oldies bands I have heard in... More

My husband and I were so looking forward to eating at one of our Blowing Rock favorites, Storie Street Grille, only to arrive and find out that they would not be open during our stay (something to double check if you come to Blowing Rock during off season). We were so bummed; however, we went to The Town Tavern where... More
