One of our favorite high end restaurants for romantic night out. You're never rushed and are presented with great appetizers and entrees. Very formal with reservations required. Pricey but worth it.

When you want to be wined & dined, this is the place to go. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is classy. We love the appetizer pizza (but it'll ruin your appetite if you eat the whole thing). Even when we have to take home leftovers , they are still great the next day.

Had been eating at the REAL Best Cellar for many years, so was very sad to hear it burned. I took my 27 yr old son there for his birthday and we were SOOOO disappointed. I was so used to the "house of many rambling room in the woods" that I was immediately turned off. We were rushed through our... More

My wife and I enjoyed our Valentine's dinner at the Best Cellar this past weekend. From the time we walked in, until we left, we were treated like royalty. The waiter was knowledgeable and patient as we tried different wines until we found the right ones. The salads were fresh and tasty. My wife had the Salmon and I had... More

This used to be our favorite restaurant in Blowing Rock. We invited ten of our friends to dine with us and I was completely embarrassed. The food was lacking not only in taste, but in warmth as well. My food was cold and I could barely saw my steak knife through what was supposed to be a medium rare steak.... More

We had New Year's Eve dinner at the Best Cellar and it was fantastic. We have dined there before and always great. We stay at the Ragged Inn which makes it nice because the restaurant is right there. Service was great and food also great. Wife has salmon and I had rack of lamb. Our tab with wine and dessert... More

Pricey!!! But delicious! It's a special occasion dinner but worth it! Try it at least once. We had the duck and the sea scallops, waiter was spot on!

Enjoyed a wonderful celebration dinner for my son's graduation from App State last night. We highly recommend this restaurant - you won't be disappointed. The Fillet Oscar, the Grouper, the Ribeye and the Lamb Chops all cooked to perfection. Service was excellent! We plan to return on our next trip to the Highlands.

I had done some research online and this appeared to be one of the best restaurants in Blowing Rock. We did experience several others during our stay, so of them all we did like Best Cellar best. Mind you, Blowing Rock is not a big place and does not have many upscale restaurants. We also liked the look of the... More

We arrived at the restaurant 45 minutes earlier than our reservation. We went to the bar and were recommended the High Country Ale brewed locally at the new Blowing Rock Brewery. From the moment we got our drinks our evening at Best Cellar was stellar. We sat in the lobby relaxing in front of the fire and enjoyed small talk... More
