Travelling around NC from the UK we chanced upon this restaurant in Blowing Rock. All the good things that are being said about this place are completely true. Cosy atmosphere, great food and good wines - a bit pricey but worth it to have something different - reminded us of home. Waiting staff very friendly. more

I researched restaurants on Trip Advisor and found this one the best reviews. They were right. Great food and service. I had the Chicken Marsala and it was one of the best tasting versions of this dish I have ever had. The wait staff was great. The ambiance was more upscale than I had anticipated for a restaurant named a... more

We made reservations on a Saturday evening in October and they were definitely needed as the place was very busy. There is some outdoor seating, but we ate indoors. The atmosphere is that of a cozy cafe, with stucco walls, dark wood and beams across the ceiling. The restaurant has a small bar but fortunately it was no-smoking. We ordered... more

This is a small restaurant in Blowing Rock, NC. Good selection, extremely fresh food and fairly priced. Soft, subtle decor and no smoking. Small bar. Good wine selection, many available by the glass. Service was excellent. We dined there twice during our last trip . Looking forward to our next visit. more

Wow, I guess someone figured out how to manipulate Trip Advisor, because this restaurant has long been known as one of the worst in town, along with Speckled Trout. I went there last winter with my wife, who had a salad that was full of brown lettuce, and I had a monte cristo that was burnt and greasy. I tasted... more

"Manipulate" tripadvisor is an untrue allegation of dishonesty. After 28 years of business and numerous waiting lines, what we hear from our many loyal cutomers is consistency, quality and cleanliness. The Blowing Rock Grille is well reconized and respected by locals and vistors alike. "Has long been known as one of the worst in town" just does not fit. Its...

We have been going to the mountains of North Carolina for 30 years. A few years ago we moved our summer home from Murphy which is on the extreme western "leg" of North Carolina to Blowing Rock, which is in the extreme northwest corner near the ski resorts. The great cuisine was one of the allures our friends talked about... more

The Blowing Rock Grille has GREAT atmosphere, service, and a friendly staff. Interested in a little wine, the Grille has a great wine list. The food is excellent and a great value. We will make the Blowing Rock Grille our choice of a restaurant when in the Blowing Rock area. more

We had Father's Day Brunch at the Grille today! My mother and I had the vegetable plate! It was delicious and Dad had eggs Benedict. It was all great! I have never had a bad meal there! more

Sat outside and it was right next to the Hillwind Inn part of Village Inn properties. Their entre's were in the $25 range but they let you split for $5.00 extra. It was a huge portion on the split and a great mean. more

There is one place to eat that really stands out when in Blowing Rock, North Carolina. That is the Blowing Rock Grille. The eggs benedict for brunch, plus the shrimp & grits, blakened salmon and the vegetable plates for the rest of the day are possibly the best on the East Coast. This is definitely the best food and best... more
