We stopped in Blowing Rock on the way to a log cabin I rented in the Smokey Mountains. We stayed ,as usual at the Blowing Rock Inn where we found out that Knights on Main had been sold. It is now called Southern Comfort. They are now open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had dinner and breakfast there. Service was... More

This was one of our very favorite restaurants in the Boone area, but it closed. Not sure why, because they always seemed to be very busy. We will miss it!

Knights was a great place for lunch and breakfast. I even dreamt of their blackberry cobbler. The town has made it too expensive for places like Knights to survive. In fact, Blowing Rock zoning has gone a bit mindless and maybe greed has come to town. Shame on BR governance. A new restaurant will go in there, but it won't... More

Great little place but unfortunately it is no longer in business. Hopefully something else will jump in to fill the void.

The food is good and the value compared to the others in town is great. Nothing fancy, but just good cooking. It is a excellent place to take your children if you are on a budget. The menu offers a wide variety for all ages and diets. Go early during the season; sometimes it can be long wait-breakfast and lunch... More

This restaurant closed down several weeks ago. It didn't move, or just take a long break - it is closed for good.

Unfortunately, I see on Facebook that this restaurant is closing as of today. Sad. I always enjoyed breakfast there. Good variety.

Food is terrible. For a place that specializes in breakfast, they cannot prepare an egg, no matter how you order. Booth seat springs will poke your bottom and back.

This place is great. We are locals and eat here once a week except during tourist season when the wait is too long. Definite low key comfort food place. Nothing fancy. Nothing expensive. It is more like eating at your grandmothers house than at a restaurant. Meatloaf, greens, good fish special most weeks. Mash potatoes gravy etc etc etc. Great... More

Yep most folks will call it a dump but it is the best place in Blowing Rock for breakfast and lunch. If you truly enjoy fried oysters, don't miss lunch on Friday. I've eaten fried oysters all along the east coast and nobody can beat Nights On Main. You get a plate full of perfectly fried oysters and 2 sides... More
