The food here was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Will definitely go back! I recommend the lobster/crab cakes. Yummy.

After having difficulty getting in to a couple of other restaurants in Blowing Rock (brunch on Father's Day), we ended up finding a seat at the bar here. So glad we did, as this was some amazing food! This chef really knows how to combine flavors for an incredible dish! We both had the Cuban crepes, which were simply delicious!... More

Our reservations were at 8 pm on Friday evening. The lapse time between drinks, appetizers, and then taking our order was 1 hour. At 9:30, dinner was served. My lettuce wedge was 1/8 of a head of iceberg lettuce, included the core and the outer spine at the outrageous price of $9. So disappointed in customer service and satisfaction. At... More

You probably wouldn't have put up a sign for a speakeasy during Prohibition. That was the case with Bistro Roca in a former incarnation, but in Blowing Rock it is easy to find and well worth it. The menu is truly imaginative with some fantastic combinations that make you want to try about a dozen of them. The lobster mac... More

We discovered Bistro Roca by accident. Such a lucky accident. It was a cold winter night, we were hungry and by chance we found this cozy romantic restaurant with a real fireplace!! That was just the beginning. They had a good wine selection and some really good offerings on the menu. The waitstaff is very good as is the manager,... More

The restaurant was a little hard to find, but worth the effort. I had a chicken pizza with feta cheese, spinach and guacomole. Sounds weird, but tasted great. Another of our party had the crab cakes and lobster cakes and enjoyed them. A little pricey, but great food. Service was wonderful.

Innovative menu, but some of the combinations were a little odd. I felt the waiter tried too hard to push the specials. Didn't really see any standard items offered, so everything was a little experimental. I might go again...

We ate here on a Saturday night for our anniversary and it was great. Definitely make reservations ahead of time unless you get there quite early. The drink selection is nice, they have all sorts of micro brewery beer. They also have an extensive wine menu. We ordered appetizers and a main course. We did not get dessert here. I... More

We frequent this restaurant because we love it. Unique flavors that blend really well, very fresh, and a particularly delicious brunch menu. The cocktails and wine/beer selections are good too. We have always had very good service--warm and friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to right anything that might go wrong. That said, not much goes wrong here for us. Sure, like... More

Bistro Roca is a wonderful restaurant tucked into a neighborhood just behind Main Street. The artisinal pizzas, fried zucchini, habe burger( very spicy) , fried calamari with two sauces, andproscuitto wrapped figs are among my favorites. They use alot of local produce and everything is very fresh and tasty. the bar scene is great and very friendly and you can... More
