We chose this restaurant based on trip advisor. Though I have had family in the area for 10 years, we had not been to this restaurant since it first opened. We consider ourselves "picky" and have eaten at many fine restaurants. Bistro Roca did not disappoint. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and very comfortable. The manager recognized us from... More

My boyfriend and I stayed in Blowing Rock over MLK weekend for a snowboarding trip. We got into town around 7:30 and looked up places to eat on yelp and this one had pretty much what we were looking for: solid reviews, an extensive menu (especially for me since I'm a pescatarian), open longer hours, and close by. And boy... More

Went there over Christmas holiday. Nice little town bar. Different food than what we are used too, but that's what you do on vacation! Not too big or too small....just comfortable.

Our third visit, and the food never disappoints. However, be sure to ask the server if they have all of the entrees in stock before you get your heart set on something. My husband and I had ordered drinks and an appetizer and then settled on our entrees. When the waitress returned to take our order, she told my husband... More

We went during the lunchtime rush but found seating in the bar section. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. Our kids (12 + 15) enjoyed looking at all the dog pictures on the walls. They had Pepperoni Flatbread Pizza that came with salad with feta and sundried tomatoes. My husband and I had the Lobster Roll with Sweet Potato Fries.... More

This dog friendly restaurant was one of the best dining experiences I've had in NC. The decor was incredible, the bar was inviting, and the food was to die for. Had the lobster roll with sweet potato fries and they were both absolutely superb.

This could be my once a week place if I lived locally. Nice variety on the menu. Service was friendly and personable, the delicate balance between speed and getting to know you. The only thing missing is an espresso machine. Must go if you are in the area

Before having a baby (ten months ago) the term "family friendly" would have kept me away. Now that I am a parent I still am not all that interested in dining next to a bunch of other people and their children. Having said that, Bistro Roca manages to maintain an elegant, sophisticated restaurant that is also accommodating to people with... More
