Our meal at Bistro Roca was absolutely, without question, the best meal of our trip to Blowing Rock. We walked from Main St. The walk is about 2/10 of a mile and takes you past part of the public park and a lovely small lake. The restaurant is in a residential neighborhood. Heeding the advice on some folks who were... More

I visit Blowing rock a minimum of a couple times a year and when there I visit Bistro Roca nightly even if just for a drink. The food is allways excellent. I enjoy the bar. The bar can get crowded as it is a locals and frequent visitors venue.

Took my wife here for an early anniversary meal after she read such great reviews on tripadvisor. Well folks, you were right again! Ate in the bar area with 1000 dog photos and the service was excellent. Food was suburb! If they offer the grilled pork medallions on a bed of grits and red eye gravy, do NOT miss this... More

We had the mussels starter. I had the trout and my son had salmon. The dining room is lovely and atmosphere is relaxed but not casual. It's really nice.

Our family dined here over the 4th of July weekend. Nice out of the way of mainstream Blowing Rock as the venue is located in the residential area of BR. Plenty of parking and the restaurant does not open for supper until 5 pm. We arrived at 5 and were seated promptly. Out service person did a good job with... More

A great place in Blowing Rock to enjoy some local food. Service and food are consistent. We try to have a least one meal here whenever we are in Blowing Rock. Nice sitting on the porch and relaxing. The restaurant is always busy so I know many others feel the same.

I have eaten at Bistro Roca many times but this was my husbands first visit. As always, the restaurant did not disappoint. The staff is well trained, friendly and knowledgeable. Our server was extremely helpful in selecting a wine to pair with our meal. We both chose specials which were delicious. My husband had the duck breast and I went... More

Bistro Roca is the go-to restaurants for Blowing Rock locals year rounds. Always packed in the summer. Great outdoor dining. The menu is interesting and changes periodically. Prices are reasonable - great food. I didn't give Bistro Rock 5 stars because the cocktail menu is lacking and not as good as in past years. Service has gotten slower over the... More

We scheduled our reservation on line and were whisked to our table without a wait! Within minutes our server, Ivey, was at our table and took our wine order. For dinner, my wife had the Salmon...she said it was absolutely terrific. I ordered one of the specials...the Veal Chop. Both presentations were wonderful. The Veal Chop was incredible along with...
