Overpriced and fair quality.

The price was high for what we got. My trout was OK taste wise but nothing to rave about. Was a little under cooked. The sides were tasty but were also small. Maybe OK as a luncheon plate portion. My wives scallops and shrimp were fair. Again nothing special.

We were delighted with our meal. My husband had a burger and I had cold shrimp and a salad. It was not fancy, but it was delicious. The service was very prompt and the server was very friendly. Just the thing.

Cafe-style simple restaurant. Order at the counter, pour your own sodas or tea, and find a seat. The cook will bring your food to you, with only a short wait. We had fresh fried oysters, boiled shrimp, onion rings and an interesting coleslaw (somewhere between creamy and vinegar) - all food fresh, prepared well, and reasonably priced - and Delicious.... We have been coming for years and you will not get fresher trout or just great family service. Of course they have a wide variety of other items and a full bar. Great to sit outside and people watch.

Don't understand the bad reviews! Our Sunday evening (07/26/15) dinners were super! Pan-Fried Trout and Fried Oysters & Shrimp. Restaurant reminds you of yesteryear - before all the glitz and glamour. But, the food was delicious. Herb and Cheddar Mashed potatoes made from Roasted Potatoes; Cole Slaw, made with 1/2 mayo and 1/2 vinegar certainly "hit the spot". Will return... More

Impossible to know when the place is open! Food and service vary widely OK to terrible! Years ago, we would take folks there when other places in town had lines too long to wait. No more.

There were a few parties seated outside, and the sign said "since 1986" so we figured it must be okay. The special was live Maine lobster, which my wife ordered. She asked about the preparation as it was very tough. Our server admitted he'd never had lobster before. They took it off the bill, so I'll give them credit for... More

We were looking forward to a delicious meal of the local trout. The restaurant was hot and not very clean. Wait staff was not attentive. No bread was served before the meal because they burnt the bread. The trout was served under cooked. The rice side dish was clearly from a mix. I would not return!
