Oh man... this is a great little place!

Took a recommendation from a friend - and I'm certainly glad we did! The place is rustic - with picnic tables and benches upstairs and downstairs... but the pork barbecue is really something special. Staying at the Holiday Inn Express, we walked the 100yds to the Woodlands BBQ next door. Restaurant was very busy but we got a table OK. Food was good and plenty of it, drinks were served in jam-jars! Guitarist clad in cowboy boots & hat sang country songs to enthusiastic diners & traded jokes with those he knew. Just the... More

Food was great and service was fast. I would recommend eating here. I had the Bar B Que sandwich and it was very good

This place was recommended to our family from a local, and we were glad we came! Our waitress recommended the collards and BBQ plates, which were to die for! The entire place was great, from the music, to the staff, to the environment. Not too long of a wait, either.

Woodlands is ok nice view food ok, I felt it needed updating as to me it seemed to rustic and run down. Food is like most roadside places burgers, fries, etc.

Recommended by the Holiday Inn staff. Good food. Inexpensive. Large portions. Kids could laugh and have fun because it was not a quiet place. I would go back.

Really uninspired barbecue and college restaurant decor. Barbecue isn't hard, but this restaurant leans heavily on the crutch of being on the side of the highway.

I think this place is above average for barbecue and taste of sides and we try barbecue all over North and South Carolina. Would recommend as a value choice.

We wanted local fare. Very good chopped pork esp if you mix hot bbq sauce with mild. Very inexpensive. Nice waitress.

My husband likes his dinner of pork, green beans, baked beans, cole slaw and a roll. My chicken and green beans were good but collards had pieces of woody stem that made eating them impossible. The corn on the cob was dry and chewy and the corn bread was dry and tasteless. I'm giving this restaurant a poor rating because... More
