Woodlands has been around for years and is still a great place to eat! Good food and great service, very casual and country feel and the bar is like a family gathering. Food was well prepared and a good value.

Place a take out order. I stood by and waited for the order. After waiting nearly an hour, I asked the young man at the registered if this is a normal wait for a take out order. He checked my name and order, turn around and grabbed a bag off the floor behind his seat and said "they just brought... More

It was the worst meal we have ever eaten in Blowing Rock. The entertainment was good but the food was lacking. We ate there one other time and it was good not great. This time everything was not up to our expectations.

Our family loved the barbecue at Woodlands. Not only was the BBQ good, but the sides were too. The dinner plates include 3 side choices, as well as the kind of bread or cornbread you prefer. The sweet tea was very good & refilled regularly. We highly recommend Woodlands for great food & unbelievable prices!

Been here 3 times now and never again! The food is delicious however the service is terrible. It's not worth the bad service to get the food. We will never ever go back here and will opt for the Daniel Boone Inn in Boone when we visit Boone in the future. If you want to feel like you don't matter... More

Long wait time to get seated as this place was packed non-stop over the weekend. BBQ was below average (expect better quality/taste @ a Sonny's BBQ) and far below what you'd expect at a NC mountain BBQ joint. Meats were relatively flavorless (not sure they were smoked or baked in an oven). Portions were relatively small for the price charged.... More

This is your basic North Carolina smoke house with picnic bench seating, and very informal atmosphere. Separated bar. Service was typical for this type venue, but smoked pork was very average for North Carolina, but perhaps OK for visitors from areas where smoked meats are not a local specialty.

we walked to this place while staying at the Holiday Inn. We decided to order take out. We originally thought we will wait long for our order, but we were pleased when the food was ready in about 15 minutes. Food was great, portions were big considering the price.

It was a quaint place, smelled awesome from riding by, but we've had better BBQ. It wasn't bad, just not awesome. Slaw was great! Service was great. They had a musician playing on the main floor, but we were seated downstairs, so couldn't enjoy that.

When I was there with friends the parking lot was JAMMED for hours on end, and there were probably more cars in it than all the other restaurants in town combined, literally. That's what attracted us to the place. The food is good and sufficiently plentiful, so that no one walked away hungry, and most of our party took home... More
