When we were here, they had three folks pickin' while we had dinner. We enjoyed that very much. The food was good, nothing to rave about, but it was fine. The staff was nice and friendly, and having the live mountain music was nice too.

Service was horrible and the food was ok, not worth the wait downstairs on uncomfortable seats! I would not bother to visit, when I complained they had every excuse in the world. Too bad the person in charge was behind the register and not on the floor to supervise the service.

Was there a month ago, and was not good. Have lived in the area for 26 yrs. When 1 st here, thought was second only to Lexington. Over the last 5 yrs, has gotten progressively poorer. After my last meal there a month ago, said never more...dry, tough, greasy, and a lot of gristle. After seeing the subsequebpnt reviews, thought... More

We had a big group and sampled lots of the menu. The BBQ'd Ribs, chicken, pork and beef were good, and portions were generous. The appetizers we tried - nachos and mozzarella sticks - were not good at all. The nachos were just stale chips with a velveeta-like sauce. The side dishes were just ok. The atmosphere is a mixed... Had a great meal at Woodlands and very good service too. Baby back rib meat practically melted off the bone! The rib and chicken combo comes with 3 sides and cornbread and is a huge meal for the money.

It seems the past year or so when we stop to eat BBQ, even the local places near our house, the meat has been getting less and less with more gristle. We stopped here on a recommendation of a friend who knows good food. ( he owns a NY style Deli in NC) the food was more than any of... More

I haven't eaten here since I was a kid, even though I live 20 minutes away. My husband and I ate here today and the food and flavors have not changed. Excellent bbq, we got a Pork BBQ Basket and a Beef BBQ Basket. Both delicious. Their coleslaw was really good, loved the hushpuppies, the bbq sauce is also delicious.... More

Everytime I get in the area I have to stop at Woodlands for some slow smoked chopped pork BBQ, Corn on the cob and baked beans. Some of the best BBQ I've ever eaten and I used to drive truck across the US and stopped at many places in the last 30+years. The waitress was great and like always greated... More

The live entertainment was concert quality! Our waitress (Michala) was wonderful. She made sure our drinks were full, and our food came out on time. She was knowledgeable about the food and was able to make recommendations. I liked the sweet tea, the BBQ was good, and the best by far was the apple sticks! The apple sticks came out... More

I have been eating at Woodlands for over 25 years. I usually have the the chopped pork which is always good quality slow smoked BBQ. I have also tried their burritos and chicken both are good. I have never had a bad meal at Woodlands. They can get very crowded on the weekends especially when the students are in Boone.... More
