I have been traveling here for several years and make a point of stopping in for some 'que. Fine atmosphere, family friendly, inexpensive beers, large portions are what to expect. I had 3 children, wife, and mother-in-law with me - we ate a large combo platter and everyone left full.

This place was highly recommended by several friends so we decided to try it out during our visit to blowing rock. Had a very downhome and casual atmosphere. Our party had everything from bbq, chicken to a burger. The food was delicious! They give nice size portions. You get a lot of food for a very fair price. We visit... More

Been l long time since I had eaten at Woodlands, but made a return visit with some college friends before an ASU football game. Brought back lots of memories! Good barbecue with the trimmings!

Very folksy, in a good way. Great food, music and service. Reasonably Priced. The hotel recommended this restaurant as a great local establishment and we were not disappointed.

After skiing on the way back to the hotel I stopped at this barbecue place. I ordered beef barbecue which was delicious. It came with hush puppies, fries and corn bread. The portions are good and the prices are great for the quality. Nice casual atmosphere (and live music).

Woodlands is a well established BBQ restaurant but their speciality is jumbo chicken wings. A large order of hot wings will easily feed two people.

First let me say this. I do NOT come here for pulled pork, brisket or SIDES. I do, however come for ribs and wings. And in that dept Woodlands has never let me down.

It has been a long time since we have visited Woodland's and will certainly be coming back. The service was fast, portions large, barbecue was outstanding and the entertainment was totally enjoyable.

I had the BBQ plate that comes with 3 sides. I had fried okra, baked beans, and french fries and hush puppies. The chopped BBQ was only OK. It has a very smoky taste but was on the greasy side to me. I didn't particularly like either BBQ sauce . One sauce is dark and sweet and the other one... More
