We went as there were really no other restaurants open at the time. It was good, a lot more expensive than we expected but we enjoyed it.
While visiting the charming town of Blowing Rock, my husband and I decided to try Twigs and I am so glad we did! What an adorable, cozy and delicious restaurant! We started with a crab cake appetizer, and followed with the tastiest Duck breast we've ever eaten along with a yummy stuffed ravioli. Plus, it was half off wine on... More
My wife and I have eaten here on many occasion and are always happy with everything. Great food, great wines, and a cozy atmosphere. A fair price and large portions, not overpriced like some of the restaurants in town.
We visited Twigs on a recommendation and we were very disappointed. After reading the reviews, I have to think either some people are wrong or that they might have two different chefs. If they do then it seems you might be taking a chance by going. We had a reservation and the hostess was on the phone when we came... More
We decided at t he last minute to see if we could get in Twigs as it was 21 degrees outside and our other choice was farther. What a great choice we made. Excellent menu choices. The lamb chops were wonderful as was my wifes trout. Our guests both had salmon and really enjoyed it. We finished with pistachio bread... More
We were visiting from out of town. Read some reviews that were not so favorable. But the menu looked great so we went anyway. Very happy we went! The food is gourmet yet comfortable. The portions are actually much larger than a typical gourmet restaurant. Our server (Jess) was great about making suggestions and nailed everything perfectly. The atmosphere is... More
Visit the high country pretty often. Went to listen to music on the lawn two Friday evenings in Sept. Went to Twigs after for something to eat. Both meals were wonderful! Chef Matt came out and spoke to us and several others to see if we were enjoying our meals. And of course we all thought it was wonderful! Look... More

Went with friends on Oct 5th. They had heard that it was good. The restaurant building really needs a facelift. It is old and tired. My wife and I both had the mountain trout. It had no taste whatsoever. We couldn't even finish it. Skip this place. Bistro Rocco has similar prices and is ten times better.
