Terrible food and dirty. Bad service. The only good part of the restaurant was the outdoor seating. The building now houses the Town Tavern - which is wonderful.

Enjoyed at lunch at MK's very much. Wings were delicious and prices were very reasonable. Burgers were so big that my husband and I will definite split one the next time we are there. Atmosphere was relaxing, staff was pleasant, and music was great! Will definitely visit MK's the next time we are in Blowing Rock!

Now known as MK's comfort food, don't let the name change fool you. The sanitation rating is not great and the food is only passable. The french onion soup came with a slice of processed cheese floating on top that never did melt. The fries were frozen, reconstituted mush. The hamburgers were previously frozen thin patties. Despite several space heaters... More

The patio is inviting and pleasant. We ordered a salmon cake sandwich and the catfish platter. Both were OK, not bad, but nothing special. Service was a slow and it wasn't very busy.

Stopped here for lunch during the Hurricane Sandy blizzard. No waiting, service was attentive and congenial. We decided to share the soup of the day which was a potato and bell pepper soup and the fried green tomato bot with sweet potato fries. Service was exceptionally considerate. The blt was split onto two separate plates along with what seemed to... More

We ate at this restaurant on Sunday, and we were very disappointed in the food. My husband ordered the Swiss burger and it was pretty horrible. The patty was thin, and it tasted very strongly of onions even though there were no onions on the burger. And, the patty was crunchy. I'm not sure if there were raw onions in... More

First review I've ever written, but feel compelled because this place COULD be really good! Great location & atmosphere if only service & food were improved.... We visited on 10/14/12 , Sunday at 3:30. There was a guy playing guitar on the patio & it looked good! Should have known it would be a bad experience when the hostess said... More

The food was not good at all. We had pulled pork bbq and I make it better in my crockpot at home. My husband had fish and chips and it too was tasteless. The french fries were very greasy and bland, just frozen french fries out of the bag. The food was just blah and way overpriced. Nothing special here... More

When arriving, we were told we would have a 20 minute wait which ended up being one and a half hours. The food was fine enough, but that's probably because every time we told him we'd like to order something he "advised us not to". For instance, he said the chili was nothing but grease and the burgers are dry.... More
