We came here because of all the great reviews on Tripadvisor, so maybe I was expecting too much. I just spent a few minutes reading many of the latest 5-star reviews, and honestly, I can't understand all the high praise. Sure, it's a nice place. And if your hotel doesn't serve breakfast, it is a great place to get one.... More

We always eat lunch at the Village Cafe when we're at Blowing Rock. Just a few steps down from Main Street, but worlds away! This place is always packed. The food and service is excellent!

My husband and I stopped in after a morning of canoeing. We were worried since we were in work out gear. The manager and staff were very sweet and said we were dressed just fine. Our server was attentive and continuously brought us more coffee and water without being asked. I had the half order of French toast and half... More

We had to wait about 20 minutes for our table so the personable hostess suggested we walk about town a bit. We did and as soon as we ret'd, she acknowledged us by name. The service was very good, the food delicious. If in BR again, I would def go back for breakfast.

This little cafe is off the beaten path in downtown Blowing Rock. My husband and I just happened to notice the sign that leads you down a paved path to the restaurant. The restaurant has a lovely garden area for outdoor dining. The food was delicous and the service was prompt. I would definitely eat here again.

We had Sunday breakfast at the Village Cafe recently. While we opted for the Crab Benedict, we easily could have savor end a number of other offerings. The menu was very tempting and making a choice was a challenge. The restaurant is cute with a very nice out-door dining area as well. Service was excellent.

Our first visit to Blowing Rock was highlighted by brunch at Village Cafe, a very well-run restaurant tucked away behind the businesses on Main Street. Located next to Kilwin's, a sign points you toward a serpentine path, through a beautifully landscaped garden, that arrives at the old house (circa 1880's) that serves as the center point for all activity. The... More

The delicious food combined with the charming atmosphere of a secreted mountain garden house makes this place a delight to visit! We were made aware of this wonderful jewel of a eatery by another restaurant owner as a great place to have a Sunday breakfast. We were not disappointed! Our party consisted of four adults and 2 young children. I made... More

I was so pleasantly Surprised when I stepped into this hidden garden of fragrant colorful trees and garden. The outside patio was cobblestone with wrought iron and the indoor dining was a beautiful period house "warm charm and ambiance". We sat on the patio. After having a first course of FRESH! squeezed orange juice and Latte's (other menu drink items... More

Beautiful setting, delicious food, great coffee, kind waitresses and a very diverse menu. We all had something different, but I think my favorite was my fresh fruit crepe. The fruit tasted and looked like it was fresh cut just for her, and the whipped cream on top tasted like my grandmother's. Will definitely return.
