We had Saturday morning breakfast here and it was a wonderful way to start the day. Had a Mimosa which was very very good. The bread is the highlight of the meal. Dining outside was really nice and the staff were very efficient. Great items on the menu from Belgium waffles - French Toast - Eggs/Omelets. I'm sure it is... More

I read about how awesome their breakfast was, so my husband and I gave it a shot. The restaurant is in a very old building, I marveled at how well the wait staff navigated the tight spaces and sloping floors. We had a brief wait before we were seated upstairs. I ordered a half size eggs Benedict, for the price... More

Great food. Wonderful hidden little taste of paradise. Sit outside and enjoy. Reservations needed so you can enjoy the outdoor seating.

This is a quirky little restaurant with uneven floors, tight stairways to hidden small dining areas, a great outdoor patio surrounded and overhung by trees and absolutely inspired food. Can be a little difficult to find as you have to walk down a long, narrow, descending walkway into an atrium with the restaurant and outdoor dining area waiting at the... More

The food and service is very good, but the prices are high for the amount of food received. It's fine for ladies on a diet, but would not satisfy most men with an appetite!

Two couples enjoyed lunch at the Village Café during fall leaf change in Blowing Rock. The service was excellent: the setting lovely. One wanders down an alley along a stone pathway to a hidden retreat. We climbed stairs to be seated in a small, simple room with only 4 small tables which made talk easy. The young gal serving us... Ate here twice for breakfast. Access is from the Main Street via a path through a nice garden area. On both occasions we were seated upstairs. I enjoy omelettes and had that both days ($10). My wife had the French toast ($9). Both were delivered fairly quickly and were of a good quality. Good start to the day!

Visited the Village Café the first Sunday morning in November for brunch. This is a seasonal restaurant and it was their last day open until next April. The restaurant is a small inn with only 20 seats downstairs and only a very small bar with another 4 seats. There is more seating upstairs but we did not see that area.... More

Delicious! We were seated upstairs and enjoyed the quaint-ness of the café. The ingredients in the omelets were very fresh as was the fruit garnish. Only drawback was the OJ used in the mimosas had pulp in it (yuck) and there was too much OJ was used...I like my mimosas to have just a hint of color...! Overall, good food... More
