Good with Interesting Food Choices

Everything was very good, but nothing was what I could call exceptional. I had the turkey dinner, which was huge. It was very thick--I tend to prefer thin sliced turkey-- this was a thick slab, but it was good. My wife had a wrap. The place had some interesting choices and the prices were... read more

1st night - Me my son and his fiance went there for dinner. Don't remember what they had but I had the trout. We all agreed the trout was definitely the winner. Lightly breaded, with a lemon sauce. So nice to sit outside and enjoy dinner. 2nd night - We really didn't want to go to the same place twice... More

This restaurant was so good, we began and ended our vacation meals here! The staff was very accommodating for our large group of 15 and made us feel very welcome. AND the food is absolutely delicious with a nice variety to please all. I would definitely recommend that you don't miss this one!

Price not parallel with quality of meal. Although staff friendly not well versed in meal content and preparation questions. Little privacy but nice setting

I am sorry you did not enjoy dining with us. We are training several new staff members who are still learning the menu and I apologize if they could not answer your questions it does take some time to learn our menu since we have a variety of choices. We have always felt our pricing was more than fair due... More

I had the opportunity to once again dine at Black Mtn Bistro. I'm an alumni of Montreat College which is also located in Black Mtn, so I'm there on a regular basis. There's so many great things to say about this restaurant...the ambiance is wonderful, the food is spectacular & the wait staff has always been wonderful. With this most... More

My husband and I decided to stop here for lunch on the weekend. It was nearly 2pm, so not terribly busy but several patrons Inside and on the patio. The patio is what attracted us since it was a beautiful day . No one came to the table for at least 10 to 15 minutes, not so much as water.... More

I entered the bistro and wasn't greeted by anyone. I sat myself on the sun porch where one other table was occupied and two tables needed to be bused. I waited ten minutes for a waitress to come check on the other table and offer me a menu but I went ahead and ordered without a menu. Service continued to... More

I apologize for your experience on Wednesday. We were very shorthanded on Wednesday, we were minus a server and a cook. I know this is no excuse for bad service but with the season just beginning we have been trying to hire more people but have not had a great response. I would like to offer you a gift card... More

There so many great places to eat in Black Mountain that we often overlook The Bistro. Great grouper Reuben and vegetable panini. There are a variety sides available with each order. Service was great and glass porch was a nice setting.

We arrived late on Friday evening. Even so, we had excellent service. We asked to split a sandwich, The Philly. It was more than enough for two people. It was served piping hot and was very tasty.
