Great variety of options in a cute setting...amazing mountain view

We stopped for a late lunch (3pm) on our way to Asheville. Lots of options to choose from. We started with the pimento stuff poppers. They were really good with the melting cheese. I ordered the goat cheese wrap with chicken. Loved the flavors of chicken, strawberries and melted goat cheese. Hubby... read more

We have eaten here at least 25 times over the past 5 years. Always great service, wonderful food and sometimes we are able to dine outside. Our favorite place to eat in Black Mountain, NC

Small, quiet dining restaurant. Good variety on menu for all preferences. Food is always great...especially the appetizers. Friendly staff.

Very nice setting where we meet with family after a memorial service. There were 8 of us and they handled it well. I had the pork chop and it was excellent in seasoning, preparation and presentation. I tried the meatloaf and it was just as good. Service was excellent as well.

We attended for dinner while visiting from out of town. My wife ordered the crab cake sandwich, which was tasty, I ordered the ribeye steak, medium rare. The steak, lots of gristle and hard to cut, probably a Choice steak, not a lot of flavor, but the A1 I was asked if I would like, made up for the flavor.... More

Seating is much nicer in the sunroom instead of the dining room. I had the salmon quesadilla; soggy!! Wife had chicken pasta; very bland with to many spices. We were expecting so much more.

Great food and service. We ordered the cheese plate for app and it came with 3 HUGE slices of cheese (we took most of it home - great to enjoy latter). Place was decorated beautifully for Christmas, wait staff was friendly and attentive, and food was flavorful. We will make this place a must whenever we visit Black Mountain.

We were passing through area and were trying to find a restaurant with chicken wings. This was a very charming restaurant, nicely decorated for Christmas. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace as it was raining and cool out. The wings were delicious and my salad with cranberries, candied pecans and Gorgonzola cheese was very good. My son's shrimp and grits... More

This was not our first visit to the Bistro. Each time, we keep being impressed by the quality and taste of the food. Two of my family members had the crab cakes which were delicious and the portion large enough to take home half to have for lunch tomorrow. I had the rib eye with scallop potatoes and veggies while... More
