We enjoy having lunch at the Bistro and today Jane was our server and made it even more enjoyable. Everything is delicious on the menu and today we decided on salads which were huge, fresh as well as attractive. Ask for her when you go as she'll see that you have a dining experience to remember!

We arrived before the evening rush. The food and service was excellent. I had the seafood risotto and my husband had the shrimp and grits. We finished our meal with the chocolate confusion cake. Everything was delicious. I definitely will be returning the next time we are in the area.

We came in as a very large group with teenagers for dinner. We are not locals. They were prepared for us because we had let them know several days ahead of time that we were coming. The staff was very patient and willing to accommodate in every way. The food was very good. If I had any complaint it would... More

To start - We waited for 45 minutes for soup and the waitress forgot what we ordered. Entrees were just okay but it was the slow and unapologetic service that put the final nail in the coffin. First and last time we will go their. Even the locals stay away.

I would like to apologize for the experience that you had when you dined with us. We were very busy on Monday and Tuesday and we were shorthanded but that is still no excuse for bad service. If you live locally we would love to offer you a gift certificate if you would give us a second chance. We rely... More

When traveling, my wife and I try to stay away from the "chain restaurants" and franchises. We seek out the "Mom and Pop" one of a kind places. The Black Mountain Bistro is an excellent place to dine. The food was delicious and service was great.

It's a cute little place that felt cozy when we walked in. We ordered a quesadilla, which came out dripping with grease. We also ordered the the veggie flatbread, with a side salad. The flatbread tasted like fish! When we told the waitress, there was no apology although she asked me if I wanted something else. I declined. When the... More

the Bistro is easy to find. the atmosphere is excellent. the wait staff is very attentive. the chef is AWESOME! Fabulous selection in the menu with daily specials. They use as much local as possible. The food bursts with flavor. the cost is affordable! I cannot wait to go back in January.

This is a nice quaint restaurant in Black Mountain, within walking distance of the downtown area. Not a lot of parking beside the building. Menu was varied and our lunch was OK. We had sandwiches and they were freshly prepared. Was very crowded and loud but our waitress did a very good job of meeting our needs.

Visiting Black Mountain and saw this beautiful little place. The staff was very nice and helpful. The appetizers came out quick and was actually very good. Then the entrees came out. All of it was bland. From the steak to the salmon to the pasta. When I say bland, I mean bland. I wish I would have read some of... More
