This place has good local beer selections and comfort food dishes. Always good. Hamburgers, fish and chips and meatloaf are all favorites.

What more could you want from your local watering hole? It has everything, amazing tasty food, a large selection of local craft brews and great music all in one place. It's kid friendly and conveniently located in the middle of town.

We were seated quickly and our server was friendly and knowledgeable of Black Mountain has to offer We found the fried pickles to be excellent. The night we dined they had live music. Our food came out perfect and we will return here next time in town.

Last year, more than 33 new restaurants opened in the Asheville area. That's hefty competition, when you consider all the really great foods stops that were here already. While The Trailhead isn't brand new, it's not what I consider "established." Despite, this, I have to confess, The Trailhead has been one of the most consistent restaurants we visit. I've had... We stopped by for lunch. I got the standard burger which was really good. Fries were just okay. My hubby got fish tacos and loved them. Our waitress was super friendly!

We have been to The Trailhead twice when in Black Mountain. Both times the experience was very nice. I've had their burger, chose the local beef version and I think that was well worth the extra charge. The burger was tender, moist and flavorful. My husband had a tuna sandwich that he reports was delicious. The service was quick, friendly... More

A group of eight or so went for supper and most had a burger. They have many selections and you can choose to have "local beef" which we did. Local, or grass fed is usually very good, but it was pretty dry and I would not recommend unless you really worry about that stuff. We enjoyed some of their excellent... More

Better than average pub food! I had a juicy 1/2 pound burger (w/carmelized onions, grilled red peppers, cheddar cheese, and slaw) with very good baked mac n' cheese as a side. Lots of healthy options, if that interests you. Huge selection of brews on tap! Quaint little village shopping area nearby.
