This was our first time eating here, and we probably will not go back. The food was okay, although my husband had a twist tie in his salad. We sat on the patio and were surprised to find people smoking out there. Our server was friendly and did a good job. We probably would not recommend this to others though.... More

We went as a large group, and the service and food were great. Their homemade ranch dressing is incredible, and the mushroom burger was awesome. We definitely will be going back!

I was wondering in Black Mountain for lunch. I was not sure what this place was, but I decided to go in and see. Really this place is a bar that serves food. The menu is limited. Bartender was super friendly. I ordered the "special" which was spicy shrimp tacos. I really enjoyed the flavor. They served it with blueberries.... More

Sat at the bar. Bartender was great. Laid back and super efficient. All the food we ordered and the food around us looked great. Person next to me ordered the fried chicken. I tried to change my order after seeing it--but was too late. Prices were super reasonable. Great selection of local beers and they have a patio and on... More

I asked the bartender to help me select a beer, and she was incredibly candid and honest, letting me sample a few before making my selection. The mushroom sandwich was very yummy, as was the fish and chips my father ordered. Hope to go back! A good late-night option.

A great place for regulars and visitors. The food is always great, a great selection of local brews on draft, and entertainment on many nights. The patio is pet friendly too.

I like the fish tacos, and that's it. The burgers are always burnt or bleeding, and while the wait staff is typically really nice, the one owner who's always working the bar is just dismissive and I don't find any use for a dismissive bartender.

Great atmosphere inside and out. We sat outside on the covered patio (with ceiling fans!). Our waitress was very nice. Even though they had a huge group of people come in at once (about 30 people in a knitting group), the food came out quickly and our order was correct. The menu isn't large but the food was excellent!

The Trailhead is a great beer and hamburger place with good service, but stay away from any non typical food, such as soft shell crabs. The staff are great at cooking the tradition bar type food, but have little experience with food that you would find in a high scale restaurant. Hamburgers, fish and chips, etc are great. They will... More

Food was excellent. Service was good. Physical site was somewhat rustic and rundown. Jambolia was superb.
