Huge portions!

This is more of a pub than a Deli, and that's a plus. Heaping sandwiches, large & meaty burgers, several draught beer choices, and the usual sodas and iced tea, all located in a set of charming old brick buildings, plus a pleasant outdoor dining area. Service was a bit less attentive than we have... read more

Thursday 50 cent wings, so crispy and the flavors were incredible! The basic salad had so many delicious vegetables And sprouts! The vinaigrette was incredible as well. Truly the highest quality food, and incredible flavor.

We had just finished playing golf at Black Mountain Golf Course and someone sent us to this establishment. We had burgers (which I highly recommend) with kale salad (very tasty) and draft beer brewed locally. Will be back and if the weather is nice, I would sit outside and enjoy the ambience of the city!!

Spent the better part of a day exploring and enjoying Black Mountain. We had an excellent relaxing lunch on the dog-friendly patio at this little gem in an awesome and convenient location in the historic center of town. The two chicken sandwiches (the Foghorn Leghorn and a daily special) we tried were fresh and tasty. They have a varied menu,... More

We visited this restaurant on the Ultimate Foodie Tour by Creative Mountain Food Tours of Black Mountain, NC. They gave us a sampling of the kale salad and turkey Panini. They paired it with "NC Apple" flavored cider (alcoholic beverage). I am not a drinker, but this was delicious. I was hesitant to try the kale, but it is delicious... More

We ate at this wonderful deli in July. We were seated outside with a party of 5 and a dog. This is a dog friendly place with an amazing menu. I had the burger with gorgazola cheese which was fantastic. Everyone else enjoyed their food and the portions were generous. The atmosphere is very casual and comfortable.

The Dark City Deli has improved steadily since it opened. The sandwiches are quite good, and there is a varied menu. I'd give it a try.
