What a treasure!!

Visited for lunch and was not disappointed. Everything was so good! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. Really a quaint little place.

We always make it a point to eat at the Berliner Kindle and have always enjoyed the food and service. True German selection of beers, wines and menu items. We love the Nuremberger brats and true German potato salad.

My fiancé lived in Germany so anytime we see an authentic German restaurant we usually try it. We were pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant in the heart of Black Mountain. We shared a sausage platter was delicious as were the sides, red cabbage and saurekraut. Don't skip the beer on tap which exceeded our expectations. The staff was attentive... More

I hoped to experience some good German food in Black Mountain when I moved here and noticed the attractive and convenient Berliner Kindl in town. Unfortunately, Berliner Kindl did not meet my expectations. The setting is nice and it is clean, but the menu is limited, they serve limited portions, and the service is only adequate. Moreover, the food is... More

We stopped into Black Mountain on our way back from Asheville because of how scenic the little town is. I was so excited to learn there was a German restaurant and bakery here but I was so disappointed once we sat down to eat. Pros: cute traditional decor in the background. The beer selection is typical yet fair. Cons: There... More

Very good food for a very good price. As good as you can get outside of Germany. Brats and kraut were great, along with the potato salad.

My wife really likes German food and I'm ok with it. However this was really good food. I'll go again the next time we are in town.
