Delicious Pizza & Pasta

Very quaint restaurant with very good food and service. The pizza is delicious and they have gluten free pizza too. The angel hair pasta dish is also very good and a huge portion! Great place for a wood fired pizza!

The brick oven pizza is fantastic. It is very similar to the pizza you find in a bistro in Italy. It is small but we arrived after 8pm and were seated right away.

So, I live in Black Mountain. We rarely eat anywhere but Fresh unless we want to watch football or listen to music or get a burger, in which case we go to The Alehouse. Everything at Fresh is good. The food is, well, fresh, which is why they sometimes run out of basil or blue cheese. Get over it and... More

We had lunch at Fresh and the pizza and salads were great. Excellent service as well. I had the Prosciutto and mushroom pizza with a Greek salad. We also had chicken fettuccini and an Italian sub..

As locals, we've been enjoying the food at FRESH since it opened (in the former location of a mexican restaurant, which outgrew the space). And FRESH quickly became a hometown favorite, for the style of thin, crispy crust with a light touch on the toppings... European style, and close to the pizza style made famous in Naples, Italy. But don't... More

Since I went gluten free I've missed pizza the most! The gluten free crust here was amazing! I had the Chèvre (goat cheese, fresh tomatoes, basil-wow!). My partner had the Scarface (pepperoni of several varieties). Our friends loved their choices. Great choice of beers to accompany the meal! Cheery friendly atmosphere. (Our waitress didn't mind that we spent 20 min... More

Ate dinner there this past Saturday night. We have a 5 year old grandson who was very tired from a very full day of travel and excitement. We asked if they could bring him a small pizza while we looked through their menu. It arrived almost faster than we ordered it. We ordered a mix of salads pizzas, and pasta.... More

We recently became seasonal residents of the Asheville/Black Mountain area. During the transition we ate out quite a bit and Fresh Wood Fired Pizza was a place we returned to more than once. Now that we're settled in, we continue to go there. It's on our list of restaurants to take visitors to as well. The place has a casual,... More

Creative pizzas each have their own style and I like all of them. I've been going here for a couple years now and it's the first place I recommend to friends and co-workers that visit Black Mountain. The wood-fired oven gives the pizza a distinct flavor. The pasta dishes are good and the salads come in nice big portions. The... More

Absolutely the BEST pizza ever! We always find a locally owned pizza place when we travel and Fresh Wood Fired is the best we have ever eaten. Friendly service.
