My husband had the pot roast and I had a "special" beet salad with salmon. Really good! Very relaxed atmosphere with friendly, happy staff.

We went to the Ale House on Halloween night. They were having a party, but not so busy that one couldn't come in and have fun. We had such a good time that night that we came back the next night for a second round.

We wandered into this little Ale house after a long drive to Black Mountain. It seemed to be busy and we could hear live music. I ordered the Farm Salad with grilled salmon and it was great! My husband got the burger and thought it was okay. We went back another night and had the best Pot Roast ever.....our only... More

We had tried two other restaurants for lunch on a beautiful fall Saturday but the wait times were too long for us. We stumbled upon the Ale House and went down the stairs not expecting much. Sometimes first impressions are wrong! The staff was AMAZING! And the food was some of the best I've had in a long time. We... More

I carried out the Ale House Pot Roast and it was delicious! The meat was perfectly done and the veggies (onions, mushrooms, carrots, potatoes, & kale) were plentiful & delicious. The meal was piping hot and ready within 5 minutes of the time I asked for it. The ladies behind the bar were friendly & helpful while taking care of... More

A good place to watch football or just chill for a while. The menu is typical pub fare and the patio has a nice view of the mountains surrounding the town.

Had a great selection of beer. Location was perfect. Did some shopping, had some beers and relaxed. Good place to sit with friends and chill.

We stopped here for dinner and it was good! I think it is best to keep in mind it is a bar like atmosphere so expect bar type food, the food is not bad but nothing memorable either! The teriyaki wings were good and my husband enjoyed the burger and variety of beer they had! It's a good place to... More

The food was okay but not something I'll remember a year from now. We got the homemade chips as an appetizer and they were so heavily seasoned I couldn't eat them without wiping some of the seasoning off. The menu did not mention they would be seasoned (that we saw). The service was great. They opened the front and back... More

It was our last weekend in Black Mountain of our month away from the Florida heat. We spent this Sunday afternoon on the Farm Tours and were seeking some thirst quenching drinks. Stopping in at the Black Mountain Ale House, we found two open seats at the bar. My husband was pleased with his Ninja Porter and relaxed with a... More
