Great place for drinks!

We were visiting Black Mountain and stopped in for drinks. There were 10 of us and the pub quickly pushed two tables together for us. Service was excellent and speciality drinks were delicious! The beer prices were excellent! Service was very good and staff were friendly.

We ate around 7pm on a Friday night with 3 kids. The wait staff was slow - but friendly, and the place was full. The eggplant fries were good and the entre portions are big. Nothing amazed us, but overall it was good food at a decent price. The noise level was on the higher side-but there was a game... More

We waited a while for an outdoor table in the early afternoon and were pleased that the Rueben was great! The hostess could have been more helpful, but our server was exceptionally attentive and friendly.

Wonderful food. Great drinks. Server was very friendly; suggested patron favorites. Sat in the bar, pleasant atmosphere. Would definitely go back.

I had the sweet Josie Brown ale. A perfect beer for us older folk who do not care for hoppy beer. We had the wings with mild buffalo and they were perfect. My wife had the burger and it was very good. The service was excellent. The servers assisted with tables not their own which is a good sign from... More

We decided to eat here on a week night and thoroughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was not too loud and we had excellent service. The food was very good. My husband enjoyed fish (delicious crispy batter) and chips (homemade and fresh!). My mom and I shared the hummus/guac plate, fried green tomatoes and grilled shrimp apps. The guacamole was excellent.... More

Our second vacation in Black Mountain NC and we love the Ale House. Food was wonderful and served promptly. We ate on the outside porch as we travel with our dog, Rosie. She loved the the french fries too. Easy parking, easy to find-we love it there and will be back.

What a nice local place to eat. Had a great meal with Fried Green Tomatoes and live music by locals. My hotel in town was not good but this dinner made up for the stay.

We stopped for lunch Sunday afternoon on our way home from a fun weekend in the mountains. The interior seemed a little dark and noisy with someone playing music that none of us liked and made it too difficult to talk. Fortunately, they have a nice outdoor area where we sat. I had a club sandwich with pimento cheese and... More

We stopped into The Black Mountain Ale House to get out of the heat and have a quick drink. Over 2 hours later we left happy and satiated. Starting with service, the staff is super friendly and we really enjoyed being helped by Nicki who offered many suggestions and was well informed about the local area as well as the... More
