Had a great selection of beer. Location was perfect. Did some shopping, had some beers and relaxed. Good place to sit with friends and chill.

We stopped here for dinner and it was good! I think it is best to keep in mind it is a bar like atmosphere so expect bar type food, the food is not bad but nothing memorable either! The teriyaki wings were good and my husband enjoyed the burger and variety of beer they had! It's a good place to... More

The food was okay but not something I'll remember a year from now. We got the homemade chips as an appetizer and they were so heavily seasoned I couldn't eat them without wiping some of the seasoning off. The menu did not mention they would be seasoned (that we saw). The service was great. They opened the front and back... More

It was our last weekend in Black Mountain of our month away from the Florida heat. We spent this Sunday afternoon on the Farm Tours and were seeking some thirst quenching drinks. Stopping in at the Black Mountain Ale House, we found two open seats at the bar. My husband was pleased with his Ninja Porter and relaxed with a... More

We ate at the Ale House last Saturday night and had a great time. It was 5 Dads and 5 nine year-old girls. The waitress was amazing (sorry, but forgot her name) and provided great service. Beer selection was very good and highlighted many of the local beers. Food was very good. We all had a fantastic time and will... More

The food here is pretty good for bar food, but the service is usually terrible. The only time I've had good service was with a friend who is a regular, which is why we were treated well.

Thanks for your recent visit to the Ale House. I'm sorry you feel like you aren't given good service unless you are with someone who comes more often. I only wish you had spoken to either me or one of the managers when you were here so we could have addressed your concerns immediately. Everyone here takes tremendous pride in... More

The Ale House serves the usual pub menu plus some unusual choices like fig paste. Service is always cheerful. Outdoor seating is pleasant. On Tuesday nights at seven, they offer Trivia. Prizes!!!

Friendly service is what struck me first upon entering Black Mountain Ale House a couple of years ago and our latest visit showed us that in spite of other changes, the friendly vibe is still there. Lots of great beers. Outdoor and indoor seating. Games to play. Music to enjoy. The food is good but I wish they would bring... More

We all ordered fried pickles and the "grown up" grilled cheese and agreed they were the best we'd ever had. Unfortunately, the appetizers took forty minutes to come out of the kitchen. Another forty minutes later our food came out--burnt. Finally, when one of us did say something to our waitress, she only took one entree off one of bills.... More

The service was good. The food was good. Fried pickles were too salty. Burgers all around the table were well-liked. Eggplant fries were the star of the night. GreenMan ESB on tap was wonderful until they ran out. It was trivia night which made inside really loud but there is outside dining available. BMAH is a good place to get... More
