Stopped in Black Mountain after being on the Blue Ridge Parkway for lunch. We had never been here before so we were pleasantly surprised at how quaint the town was. The Ale house is below street level and has a patio out back. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside. My husband ordered the braised beef rib sliders... More

We especially like their wings. The Honey Sirach are very good. A nice pub bar atmosphere. They have a good variety of local beers. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Basically good food in a cozy bar.

Mandarian Orange Margarita was great, as well as the Salad with blue cheese & pecans. Service was good too- just wish the outdoor seating was more picturesque.

We ended up here for lunch only because the wait was too long at our first two choices. I'm so glad. I can't comment on the bar as we were there just for the good. We were pretty hungry so we started off with two appetizers..the cheese sticks and eggplant fries. Both were very good. The cheesesticks were huge and... More

We'd finished a hike at Graybeard at Montreat & really needed to eat, lol! This venue presented as a great place to land. The food was great, wait staff was good & the location was particularly good.

We had dinner here and we're glad we did! We started with a very unique appetizer. It was bacon jelly with figs. It was served on toast and drizzled with honey. It wasn't something we've ever had before and my husband really liked it. Me....well it wasn't bad, but bacon is more of his thing and now I can say... More

Very pleasant staff. Good variety of burgers and very unique appetizers. We enjoyed the fried pickles and kettle chips with blue cheese. Tasty Caesar salad using kale as its base. Plenty of variety in the beer selection.
