This is an inconspicuous little place off the main drag of Black Mountain. Open only for breakfast (served all day), lunch and Sunday brunch, Louise's has a lovely wraparound porch perfect for those late summer and early fall days. There is also indoor seating. For Sunday brunch, we had two tasty dishes -- a "veggie delight," with egg, spinach, tomato,... More

Louise's is in an old house that you order and then they bring the food to you. I had the black bean grit cakes and they were just wonderful. Wish I lived closer.

Ordering at the counter speeds up ordering while delivery by a waitress to your table provides a service experience. Food is very good although not gourmet. Just a pleasant casual eating experience.Their large wraparound porch is the perfect setting for a lovely, leisurely breakfast with cool mountain breezes. The porch is decorated with a mix of old chairs and tables... More

It's an oldish house made over into a restaurant. Seating on the porch seems to go first in nice weather. Indoors there are several rooms, and a small cadre of cooks working in what looks like an impossibly small kitchen. The food was worth the moderate wait. The Black and Blue Salad was a delight with fresh greens and vegetables... More

Folks were streaming into Louise's for Sunday brunch, and once we saw the plates of food coming out of the kitchen, we understood why. Everything looked enticing, and it was hard to decide what to order. I opted for the black bean grit cakes and they were delicious. Louise's has a down-home, casual feel: You'll order at the counter, pour... More

Sit outside and drink out of a mason jar, enjoy the ambiance of a 100 year old plus house that has been many things in its history......I had the breakfast , which is served all day. I sat on the wrap around porch & felt like I was visiting grandma's house. Very busy, very affordable and wonderful staff, I will... More

Everyone said to eat at Louise's and they were right. Don't miss it. Breakfast or Lunch - either will be perfect.. Outdoor eating on the wrap around porch, or outside on the lawn with your pets. Opens at 10:00 on Sunday or we would have have been back for breakfast!

This is a nice little restaurant you can eat inside or on the deck. My wife thought there french toast was great. I thought their biscuits and gravy were okay.

I ate here two mornings during a week long stay. I'll admit I had the french toast both days. One day with bacon, the other day with sausage. I know...walking on the wild side! The french toast was thick bread and very good. Bacon was crispy and excellent. Sausage was good but I liked the bacon better. Coffee is a... More
