Love the lunch I had the other day. Very eclectic menu and all the food is great. The owner is on site and available for compliments. The staff are happy to serve you.

My husband, daughter, son-in-law and I had lunch at the oldest house in Black Mountain today-----Louise's kitchen. My cheesesteak was very tasty, and everyone else enjoyed the meals they got. Breakfast is served all day, and the breakfast Quesadilla looked especially appetizing. They have a good local following, so you know it has to be good!

Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Average breakfast, but really appreciated that they allow substitutions.

This is an old house renovated to a place to eat. You first place your order and find a table. Everyone is friendly, the breakfast was excellent. This place was highly recommended by the locals and you can see why. It is unique and different in a great way. We really loved eating there not only for the food, but... More

Best Grits!! That's saying alot considering I'm a Southerner and we do love our grits! Not only that, the grit cakes with sauce was equally fabulous. Friendly service and good food can't be beat. My "foodie" relatives from Virginia loved it.

Grits aficionados will know what I mean. Grits you can eat with a fork! Thick and creamy, seasoned well. Like eating a Gramma's house. Sit on the porch and enjoy the mountain view. Sausage from local butcher. Food fresh and prepared well. Delivered with a friendly smile and helpful service.

This restaurant is a few blocks off the main drag, which was nice! Even though the restaurant was full, it didn't feel crowded. Super casual, low key vibe, with really great food. We had lunch, sandwiches and a salad. Really tasty, friendly, east going staff. A gem!
