A good Breakfast

We were looking for somewhere to have breakfast on our way out of town, and this seems to be the only place in Black mountain. It obviously caters to locals since many seem to be here on this past Saturday morning. The restaurant is set up in an older house where you enter, then go to the back... read more

We had seen mixed reviews on Tripadvisor but locals had given positive feedback on Louise's. Felt we should finally give it a try on our current visit. It is an old home with seating on the porch or rooms inside, for lunch there the menu seemed limited. You order at a counter where they use an iPad for payment, then... More

Average breakfast served in an old house with wrap around porch. You order up front when arriving and food is then brought to the table. Service so-so. They bring your food to the table and that it about it. I would prefer a full table experience. Some unique offerings but just tasted average in my opinion nothing over the top.... More

We have now eaten at Louise's Kitchen twice while visiting family in the area. The first visit we had breakfast. The last visit we had lunch and both were wonderful. For lunch I had the tomato soup and spinach salad. Everything was fresh and prepared as I wanted, swapping out the blue cheese for a milder cheese and omitting a... More

I was interested to try this place after searching for breakfast in Black Mountain with good reviews. I love the idea of restaurants in old homes, as it offers a charming extra to the experience. The advertised goal of Louise's is to offer a new twist on Southern comforts. I am usually all for this concept if it is done... More

Pretty cool little place. We grabbed breakfast there before 10am so crowds were not bad. I had the Grit Cakes which are grits and black beans rolled in corn mill and topped with pico and a special sauce that made the dish. I have to say it was amazing! Only negative I would say is the cost of a canned... More

A group of us rented a cabin in Black Mountain and had breakfast here on our way out on Sunday. It's located in an old house and the food is unreal good! My wife and I had the Big Boy Burrito and the Huevos Rancheros - both were very good. Everyone in our group seemed to be very satisfied. I... More

No trip to Black Mountain would be complete for us without having breakfast at Louise's. Great coffee and delicious food. The potatoes are fantastic!

Old house which has been converted into a "no frills" restaurant - small so plan to wait for a table if it's on a Sat/Sunday morning for brunch. You order at the cashier and pay -then go sit and wait for your food. Very good food and very reasonably priced. I'd recommend and go again too!

The soup was delish and came out piping hot! We always enjoy the atmosphere and service. They use fresh ingredients and it shows!
