I LOVE THIS PLACE!! a little bit expensive-ish (not expensive for black mountain) I Wish i could live in the kitchen! But last time I was in town (oct 2012) they had shut down :(

You know it's a great burger when they have to give you extra napkins. The burger is bigger than the bun and it was cooked perfectly.

It is an old house converted to a cafe, complete with horse shoes to play with in the backyard when you are through eating. I had the standard eggs, sausage, and home fries breakast. The eggs were perfect, sausage was good,... More

The weather was great and their outside dining is the best. We all have ordered something different and have to say that their hamburgers, paninis,... More

I found the food very greasy and was not cooked as odered. Toase was cold and not buttered. My only other concerned was I didn't find health options such as low fat offerings or fruit.

Well my husband and I happened upon the Oak House our first afternoon in Black Mountain after we perused the menu for the restaurant in our hotel room and decided to seek it out. Nestled on a side street off the beaten path from the shops is hidden the Oak House. Upon first arrival we were worried they were closed... More
