Being a local patron of Madison's--it is a relaxed and a 'feel good" place to dine alone or with good friends or with out of town guests. Valentine's evening was special with their special menu! Our service was outstanding and our meals perfectly prepared!

Rhea and Jay, Thank you for another wonderful evening of great food and wine. After all the years that you two have had the Madison Inn it has always been a great place for dining and to bring our friends. You are always consistent with great service and food. A dining experience. Thank you. Ken Prentice

My husband and I made reservations for Valentine's night. We arrived and waited to be seated. We were informed that we had made the first reservation for that evening. The waitress came out and laid a menu on a table and walked off. We thought she was getting another menu before she seated us. Everyone has to share menus here.... More

After reading good reviews of the MadisonInn and restaurant, I reserved a table for 4 on Christmas Day. A one word description would be disappointing. The food was simple, bland and undercooked, even the apples in the dessert were still crunchy. We felt lucky to find a restaurant serving lunch on Christmas Day but left wondering why they would not... More

My husband and I eat here on a semi-regular basis and we've always had a positive experience. The filet mignon, the grouper, and the chicken marsala are our favorites, as well as the spinach artichoke appetizer. The staff are very down-to-earth and attentive, and the restaurant has a really comfortable ambience, with twinkly lights on the ceiling, a fireplace inside... More

When special guests come to visit, for holiday special get-togethers, and just for the two of us, we go to Madison's. The decor is worth a visit, and the food has never failed to be top-notch. And getting there is fun, too.

Not really that hard to find. The light-tasting chicken marsala at first seemed to be "different" from other restaurants. It quickly became apparent that it was all the others that tasted so heavy. Intimate setting and very personal, friendly, but not overbearing service. A definite gem in Black Mountain.

One of the highlights of my week long stay at the Madison Inn in Black Mountain, NC was Sunday brunch at their restaurant located right downstairs at the Inn. Chef Jason makes a yummy Madison Frittata that was in a word "Amazing". The husband and wife team that own and operate The Madison Inn and Restaurant have made the restaurant... More

An interesting B&B at the end of an isolated country lane. When you drive into the parking lot, the utilitarian aspect of the main house makes you wonder if you have the wrong address. Once inside, the strikingly pleasant decor of the dining room confirms that you are at the right place. Sad to say, the food and service did... More

Just a minute off the interstate. A very nice cozy atmosphere. Has a limited wine list but also not expensive. Most bottles were under $30. My wife had the pecan honey glazed pork. She loved and and thought it was well balanced. I tried the glaze and it appeared a bit too sweet. Then I had it with the pork... More
