Fancy eating in Black Mountain

Que Sera is one of the only places in town for fine dining. The chef is friendly and comes out of speak to the customers. The food is nice, especially the rockfish dishes. The ambiance is intimate, and it's nice to sit outside if the weather is nice.

Que Sera may not look like much from the street, but the food and the service are terrific. Worth the drive to Black Mountain

This is one of the nicest dining experiences I have ever had, and I have had a lot in many cities around the world. It's all the more amazing, and unexpected, considering its humble location in North Carolina. The food is remarkably fresh and original. Not a fancy place, just nice food nicely prepared.

When we saw the outside of the restaurant we almost left. Our friends we met here said the same thing. But we stayed and had really good food. Our server was excellent. I had the NC redfish with crab and Asiago grits and found the dish pleasing. For the price, I left a bit hungry. The fish and crab are... More

Excellent food! Excellent service! The restaurant does not look like much, but the food will impress you. Very friendly. The chef came out and greeted every one in the restaurant and paid extra attention to my kids. Even brought them a surprise ice cream cone at the end. Very accommodating to my children, they did not have a kids menu,... More

Excellent menu and service. Love the oysters, which are as fresh and delicious as those I've eaten on the gulf. Creative dishes and great service. I am a local and it's my go-to restaurant for fine dining. The current setting is very plain, but don't let that put you off. I understand that they are moving soon to a prominent... More

My wife and I are visiting the Asheville area for the third time in 12 years. Some friends recommended Que Sera telling us that the place didn't look like much but that the food was wonderful. We checked the TripAdvisor reviews and read much the same opinions. We went for dinner last night and we will go back the next... More

Que Sera is many miles from the ocean but has absolutely wonderful, fresh seafood. If the fish or oyster special of the evening does not appeal to you then try the Redfish Anna, which is stuffed with fresh, lump white crabmeat and served over cheese grits --- a fantastic combination of flavors. Save room for a piece of the Key... More

We had our 3rd dinner at Que Sera last week and each time we leave saying "how did they top the last dinner we had?" but they do. The food is consistently great and prepared perfectly. Probably the best filet I have eaten in years. Desserts--to die for! The atmosphere leaves a little to be desired, but what would you... More

I have only been here for brunch but it is one of the best. Service begins with plate of small muffins and biscuits, not so much that you fill up but enough to get you ready for breakfast, My most recent visit I had the Que Sera Breakfast, which at $10 is a great value; two eggs, bacon or sausage...
