Que Sera has been consistently excellent with fresh ingredients in Cajun and Creole style. They have the freshest fish in town and great special dishes each night. Whatever will be the special is special and that will be the dish I order. I have not been disappointed.

I had made reservations for Saturday evening for six. My husband and I were traveling to Black Mountain to visit our daughter who attends Warren Wilson College and planned to meet her and her 3 house mates at Que Sera for dinner. We were stuck in traffic for about an hour and a half due to a traffic accident ahead.... More

My wife was out of town so I stopped in for Sunday brunch. Extremely welcoming and laid-back atmosphere. Pleasant conversation with the owners and other guests in cozy table grouping. Inspired menu with many creations to choose. Food continues to be outstanding. Wait staff friendly and helpful, including "Little Angel" dressed in white serving biscuits and muffins. Finest in Black... More

Black Mountain, NC is not known for its fine dining. For example on tripadvisor, the #1 rated restaurant is only open for lunch and #2 is a coffeehouse! However #3 is Que Sera which should be #1 and would be in most small towns in western North Carolina. The few negative reviews I saw are written by guests whose whole... More

Que Sera offers a menu varied in content but without too many choices. Sunday brunch is crowded but the service is still fairly quick and efficient. My main complaint is that the tables for four can barely fit four plates and four glasses. Adding bread plates, condiments, etc. requires some slight of hand.

My wife and I dined at Que Sera during our recent vacation. The Creole seafood gumbo was outstanding with an excellent roux. The seafood chowder was good as well, though a bit too thick. The scallops were presented very nicely and seasoned well, but had an aftertaste that suggested that they were not quite as fresh as hoped for. The... More

We are Charleston residents and have many fine restaurants from which to choose. Que Sera rivals our best as far as food preparation. (small and cozy atmosphere along with very good service) The friendly owners take pride in using fresh local ingredients and the food reflects their choices. We enjoyed a delicious dinner--husband had halibut accompanied with spinach souffle and... More

This is a fairly small restaurant with a wonderful chef/owner who really knows how to prepare outstanding meals. The atmosphere is very welcoming and you will find many locals eating there. It is really a hidden gem! Don't miss Que Sera when you are in the area.

I had passed Que Sera many times, but had never stopped in. My wife and I took a flyer based upon the Tripadvisor reviews when friends of ours came to visit. We were not disappointed with the outcome. While the outside would not indicate fine dining, the inside certainly provides an environment of achievement. All four of us were more... More

My husband and I were staying in Black Mountain for our honeymoon when some friends who live in SC bought us a gift certificate as our wedding gift. They told us just to go to the restaurant and give our names and we would be taken care of. They were right. The restaurant is nothing to look at from the... More
