City Kitchen is a Waterfront Restaurant with approachable American Cuisine that is kicked up a notch. Just like our great country, the chef draws from our diverse ethnic mix, with Southern, Asian, Hispanic and other influences. City Kitchen's cuisine is imaginative yet familiar. We are an unpretentious restaurant, with an inviting decor and awesome food! (Our desserts are pretty darn tasty too!) I live in Beafort and typically take clients to downtown. I decided to make reservations here...glad I did. This place is a gem. Great ambiance overlooking sound and marina. Menu is very small but fresh. The chef delivered on presentation as well as taste. Pork chop was best I can remember. I... read more

We visited last Memorial Day weekend. It was just the two of us and we were seated at one of two tables not by a window because of the size of our party. At least 8 tables by the windows were vacant. The view is spectacular from a window adjacent table. We ordered the special, a $32 grouper entree. The... More

I have eaten at this restaurant on 5 different occasions. In those 5 visits we have had 14 or so meals. Everyone's meal has been delicious. The truffle chips are great. The other apps are great as well. Particularly like whatever Grouper they happen to be offering and the pork chop is the best my wife had tasted. Bottom line:... More

Dessert first. The Sticky Pudding and Brownie with rich chocolate sauce was out of this world. Save room if you can. We ordered the baked oysters with collards. I know, it sounds funky, but they were delicious. Our dinner companions ordered a beet salad with goat cheese and it was great. We ordered the flounder special with jasmine rice. It... More

I loved this dining experience! We began our meal with two appetizers and they were delicious. Four people in my party split a beet, arugula, goat cheese salad and a baked oyster half shell dish. I had the shrimp and grits entree and it was wonderful. Friends had the flounder special and enjoyed it as well. For dessert, the sticky... More

It was great to find a this restaurant in Beaufort, back in April. Tonight was our 28th Anniversary. This restaurant is one of our favorites. I have to say they made our 28th wedding anniversary memorable. Call for reservations though as the seating is limited due to demand. The drinks are awesome, we had the super mojitos and the desert... More

Everything about this restaurant was excellent! We had a very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable server named Dylan. The food was fresh and full of flavor. We had 3 small plates and shared a big plate. The desserts were to die for.

I visited City Kitchen yesterday with my parents and a friend. We received a recommendation from someone in SC and decided to try it (especially the sticky toffee) and were very glad we did. My friend and I shared the thai meatballs and pork belly tacos (both are basically appetizers) as our meal and wanted even more! The meatballs are... More

Saturday night on the deck..... Grouper; shrimp and grits; duel filets; good wine and a cool breeze to boot. Beautiful sunset. Service by Sean was attentive ms friendly. We didn't eat there, but inside was very noisy.
