Great food...a little surprise

We stopped at Zuzda while we were in Banner Elk with a large group of 7. The waitstaff was very accommodating and the food was very good. We were looking for a tapas style so that we should do a little sampling of everything...and that's exactly what we did. EVERYTHING we had was fabulous... read more

The food was delicious, the service was fast, friendly, and knowledgable. Mix drinks from the bar were perfectly made.

Let's see, we were stuffed into a tiny corner table with the place near empty and the waitress literally forgot about us. After about 25 minutes of cackling from the drunks near us waitress included we interrupted her to ask about our waitress, She went to find her. Their menu is well, overpriced and they don't vary much apparently. We... More

We have been to Beech Mountain and Banner Elk area many times and passed by this restaurant many times but never dined here. TripAdvisor was part of the problem. It was always 4th or 5th on the list. So we went to those above it. Once again it was 5th but I looked at the menu this time. The first... More

We went to Banner Elk to get away for the July 4th week end and escape the humidity. Never having been there we didn't know what to expect. We stumbled on this place just riding around and taking in the scenery. We certainly didn't expect a great restaurant like this one. We had the local trout and it was delicious.... More

My wife and I ate there durning a summer trip to the North Carolina ski area. Menu was varied but slightly pricey considering that this wasn't the ski season. Staff was adequate, but seating and scenery left a lot to be desired.

Everything from the food to the service to the portion sizes is great at Zuzda. This restaurant offers a huge variety of tapas with many menu choices. Our table shared our tapas selections and everything was terrific. It's great to be able to try small portions of a variety of foods. The pecan crusted Western Carolina Rainbow Trout was my... More

Went here on a Monday night around 7:45. Service was fast and waitress very knowledgable of each item. We got the spicy shrimp, escargots , filet , sushi roll, kale - all delicious. Paid $44 with 20% tip plus drinks

My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner. The Portabello mushroom stuffed with sauteed spinach and provolone cheese was terrific. My husband, a connoisseur of filet mignon, said it was the best he'd ever had. The creme brule was perfect. Even the kale used for decoration on some dishes was particularly delicious. The decor of the restaurant isn't anything special... More
