Simple Country Breakfast

If you just want a plain country breakfast that you could cook at home then this is for your. The service was ok and the food was adequate... but simple. Ugh! The sausage in Sausage & Gravy Biscuits was practically non-existant; the gravy tasteless. The "buttermilk" pancakes tasted like raw flour. I NEVER use syrup on my pancakes but I sure used it this time. Bacon was room temperature. Not interested in going back to this place.

We have been going to Grandview for breakfast for 10 years, since we bought a vacation home in the mountains. In the beginning, the servers were friendly and the food good. Service has always been slow but we didn't mind. But I've finally had enough. We went a week ago on a Sunday, mid morning. As I was signing in... More

they were recommended and hav e been in business for over 30 years and that always tells you something. Not fancy, just clean and wait staff were senior ladies that know how to work and handle themselves, very nice and pleasant with no goofing around. They are only open 7-2 during weekday and 7-3 on weekends and serve breakfast until... More

We stopped in for breakfast. I made the mistake of asking for a boiled egg. The request was hollered thru the place. I was offered a hard poached egg and declined. The service was slow at best and you got the feeling you were not a customer but a major inconvenience. I noticed the bowls of apple butter were gone.

Home style cooking is best for breakfast, and lots of locals and also summer residents will eat here. Families especially enjoy a breakfast out. Eggs, bacon, ham, and grits with unending coffee just can't be beat. Folks used to read there the newspaper on Sunday mornings; now it's more often checking devices, but the friendly atmosphere is the same. Nothing... More

Stopped by the Grandview Restaurant on a cold rainy Saturday in November and had an awesome grilled cheese sandwich and bowl of chili. Exactly what we needed to warm us up. If you like Mom & Pop local food this is the place for you in Banner Elk. We'll be back!

After waiting 37 minutes for our breakfast, the food came out nasty and greasy; bagel sandwich clearly heated up in a microwave! Never coming back, this place lacked service and their food is disgusting!

I've been eating at the Grandview ever since they first opened! Greg & Debbie have always served good tasting basic foods at a great value. Nothing fancy just good food and friendly service. The best thing my wife and I like is the serve Breakfast all day! It's a great place for breakfast or lunch and that's why they are... More
