Dunn's offers ordinary fare in a low-key atmosphere. The decor is dated and the interior is nothing special. When we were last there, the whole place needed a good and thorough cleaning. The food is generally adequately prepared, but not extraordinary. The folks are friendly and the service is good. It's an okay place for a decent meal.

We stayed at the Perry House, and a breakfast at Dunn's came with the stay. We each had a breakfast burrito, and it was awesome. Eggs, bacon, cheese, peppers and onions. Would stop for that again. Overall, the menu looked very reasonably priced. Good people also own it.

We went here based on Trip Advisor reviews. Wished we would have not gone. The place isn't that clean. The bathroom was disgusting. Our sandwiches were okay, not the best like people reviewed on here. My daughter got sick after eating a ham sandwich here. The place is very old and not in the best shape.

Loved this place, so friendly, food was terrific. They have a big menu for a small sandwich joint... I had the cheeseburger sliders with the homemade coleslaw, all were superb. Companion had the chicken gyro special with homemade potato salad and pronounced it excellent. Third companion had homemade egg salad and ate it all. I must wax ecstatic for a... More

I LOVE Dunn's Deli. They are my top pick in the area for a sandwich. I know my food is prepared when I order it and it's always amazing. They always have some fun and unique burger or sandwich on special - go for it! They also serve a great breakfast. I love to pick up a country ham biscuit... More

We stopped in based on reviews in the area and the sandwiches were excellent. Liked the atmosphere... great place to pick up some brochures about the area and make plans for your day trips around the area. Self Service and great food for a quick lunch!

I've eaten here many times, as my best friends went to college at Lee's McRae. It is consistently the best Shrimp Caesar Wrap I can get. . It's NEVER dry, always moist. Well-dressed, sufficiently wrapped. The flavor seeps out with every bite, and makes my taste buds dance and sing. Pricey? Maybe a little bit, but totally worth it. The... More

The selection is great; the food is plentiful. The service is a little slower than I would like, but it's minimally staffed and a pretty busy place. It would be hard in a college town to know when it's going to be really busy and when it's not.

Dunn's is right by the only stoplight in Banner Elk. It's a great place to grab a hearty sandwich and the menu has dozens of enticing - often unusual - choices. The place is slammed with customers around mealtimes. You order at the counter, fill your own drink and get your own bag of chips, then pick up your food... More

This deli is what I call "Appalachian Chic." By that, I mean that it has a lot of local, mountain flavor. It is located in a remodeled 100 year old gas station. With that in mind, the atmosphere is more like an old country store, because that is what the building was. The decor is neat and tidy, but you... More
