A rare gem of an exceptional culinary dining.

The atmosphere was open, warm, posh. The staff was like something out of a "how to do it right" book. The waiter knew the menu inside and out. He had answers for all our questions. He knew the wine list like a pro, even making suggestions which we loved. The food was prepared to perfection. Be sure to make reservations... More

We have been to Artisanal three times now and have always walked away saying it it one of the best restaurants we have been to. We either sit in the lounge area (3 tables available) or outside. The outside seating is very cool since you are under cover but right next to a stream that runs along side. It is... More

Fine food, fine service, great ambiance and a good choice for a special dining experience. Expensive, but worth it.

Extremely disappointed in our Artisanal experience......we were really looking forward to visiting this restaurant that we had heard so much about, but from the moment we arrived we started getting negative vibes, the staff was extremely pompous and un accommodating.......for example, should you have dietary restrictions such as diabetes, don't ask for substitutions, they won't be helpful....and don't think about... This is the absolutely best restaurant in the Banner Elk/Boone/Blowing Rock area. The food is amazing, the service excellent and friendly. Despite some of the reviews about dress (yes this is a chance to dress up) it is not pretentious in any way. The table across from us had a couple of well behaved adorable little boys who were treated... More

This was a great venue for a rehearsal dinner with family and friends! The view, waitstaff, facility and food were incredible! Don't miss this restaurant if you are at Sugar Mountain or Grandfather. It is consistently great!!!

We've been 6 or 7 times since it opened, and the food and ambiance are outstanding. I was surprised by the drinks, normally wonderful. I ordered a Manhattan, but the 1st pass was scotch (tasted like a Rob Roy). 2nd pass after I gave the waiter the recipe, I'm sure was made with Dry Vermouth. I drank both because they... More

First off, this is an experience and worth planning your trip around it. We had a party of 4 adults, 2 couples. Driving up to the property, you feel like you are in a luxury car commercial. Beautiful setting, manicured pastureland and contemporary, yet rustic building where you are greeted by valet. We did arrive 5 minutes early, so the... More

Wow! What a special time had eating in the wine cellar at Artisinal last night. Beautiful surroundings perfectly maintained. Great waitstaff.. Amazing wine list. Beet salad and soft shell crabs were great. Happening place with happy friendly folks enjoying the scene.
