Wow! What a special time had eating in the wine cellar at Artisinal last night. Beautiful surroundings perfectly maintained. Great waitstaff.. Amazing wine list. Beet salad and soft shell crabs were great. Happening place with happy friendly folks enjoying the scene.

We made a special trip from the NC coast to experience the Artisanal season opening. We took advantage of the tasting menu for the evening. This paired the perfect wine with each course. It was an incredible meal with the ambience of the outdoor patio. The Artisanal always does things over and above and makes the trip well worth it.

Although expensive, the food and service have always been great. Is perfect for a special occasion. Extensive wine list.

First let me say that we love the food and ambience at this restaurant. We consider ourselves loyal, regualr customers who deserve to be treated as such. We have attended wine dinners and have taken out of town guest there several times. Anita the manager is always welcoming and gracious. Our last visit this year was for a special anniversary.... This is a find. In the middle of small mountain town, a five star restaurant! The prices are high and well worth every penny! The drinks were not small....typical of high end restaurants! The service impeccable without being over bearing. The atmosphere and location are amazing...so beautiful. The food was good to great. Some were not outstanding, but the whole... More

If you want a 5 star dinner for a special occasion, or to have an elegant business dinner, this is where you will find it. The kitchen will modify or create new dishes that you request, (my vegetarian friends were astonished). I found their seafood dish to be excellent, but I always rate on the quality of their filet. I... More

My dad took my husband and I to Artisnal for our anniversary/ birthday. I was completely blown away. The building is reminiscent of an old farm house and the decor actually remains of the barn at Blackberry Farms. The setting could not have been more beautiful overlooking a stream in the middle of the mountains. We sat inside because it... More

There are many pluses for Artisanal. The staff is absolutely superb, the atmosphere very pleasant and the wine list excellent. The building itself is worth a trip. Relatively informal but architecturally unique. Why did I just give it 3 stars? We were a party of ten but the highly acclaimed food was a no show. The steaks were probably the... More

We came to Artisanal due to my having forgotten a jacket that was required at Eseeola Lodge. What a good accident it was. My wife and I spent the first night here looking into the kitchen from a nearby table and saw a carefully run, well orchestrated service - a good sign. We had Sweetbreads and calamari for appetizers, both... More
